I also crocheted an octopus today. Made the eyes using black yarn. I just sewed them on using my darning needle. Somehow the little guy looks really angry. Now my family is calling it the grumpy little octopus 😄

yes agreed with Crafty Foxette. You can try holding the tail or make you tail a bit longer to avoid this problem

you can weave the yearn first thought doll a few times maybe before making the eyes? or make eyes before stuffing head and make a not inside for better security .

Thank you for dropping your comment. To get tight sts, I suggest you to use one or two smaller hook than the suggested one. And the yarn I'm using here is some local yarns from my country (milk cotton). Hope this helps!

So she is finding the stitch she wants to put the eye on and pulling the needle from back to front She then goes backwards to make a loop at the front She goes back in the back hole and making needle through the front and pulls through She wraps the yarn at the front around the needle 3 times and pulls the needle through the back. She ties it up at the back and tucks the joy inside her work so it isn’t visible in the back Sorry I know I’m probably too late and it isn’t the best instructions but I tried my best
