Hi Christa, just a few words to tell you, that I keep my notes of every single project that I make in my I Phone, I write the name of the project, hook size, yarn name and number, like 4, 5, 6, and the pattern description, I also write the name of the author or teacher, with the picture of my finish work. Thank you again, xx 🧶🐢🌸🍃💟

Hi Christa! The way I keep track of things is in a 3" thick 3 ring binder. I print out (or write out if it is my own creation) my pattern and when I make that pattern, I then make notes on it regarding hook size, yarn type and so forth. If I don't like something I make a note of that too so I don't accidentally re-try something I already tried and forgot! When I perfect it, I make a note of that somewhere on the top of the pattern. I then put the pattern into one of those plastic page protectors and into the binder. I have the binder divided off into sections such a s granny squares, afghans, shawls, socks, dishcloths etc. That way I can collect patterns to my hearts content and then when I am in the mood to try something new, I just go to the binder. I know this sounds very anal and OCD, but I am chronically ill and the only way I can continue on with my crafts is to be super organized so I don't waste precious energy looking for patterns or guessing which hook size I used last time etc. HTH! Vicki
@SecretYarnery6 жыл бұрын
Oooooh! Great system, Vicki! I don't think that's OCD at all... guess that means I'm OCD too? lol! Sorry you're unwell. Big big hugs!!

This vlog seems a lot more casual, I really like that. I tried to make a polar bear rug out of the Bernat Home Bundle yarn but I didn’t know about decreasing and increasing and patterns and all that stuff at the time so now it’s just a huge wip sitting in the corner that’ll probably never get finished. Congrats on almost 5000 subscribers!
@SecretYarnery6 жыл бұрын

I searched all over and couldn’t find a pattern but followed the pictures on Pinterest and Etsy and what not. I just didn’t know how to like make his body change to make limbs because I was naive and didn’t know you could do special stitches🤪 In my lap right now is a cocoon cardigan made from Scarfie yarn and I’m too obsessed. Excited to see how well your taxidermy turns out!

HaHa....I think I shall call you my Chic-a-"pea" (my other pea in the pod)! You mentioned me! LOL!! How sweet! Thanks!! :) Having a blast watching your channel! A Give-away sounds awesome! I think you should include something from Africa! Something that represents where you are since I'm assuming most of us are probably like a MILLION miles away from you! :) That would be fun and interesting! Loving the animal head idea! It would be fun to make one! Something I do with patterns, etc. is I place the pattern inside a page protector sleeve which I place in a 3-ring binder. I have a binder for different catagories such as afghans, scarves and shawls, etc. I purchased Dry Erase markers so I can write notes to myself without ruining the pattern. I can just write on the page protector! I also keep sticky notes in the notebook too. Again with the pea-in-a-pod, I'm either really organized or don't bother! (It's because it's overwhelming sometimes!) Anyway....loving the vlog...loving the channel! Have a great day and keep fascinating us!!
