I love how easy this is. I’m still learning and easy is where I’m at. Are the aluminum hooks easier to use than plastic hooks?

I am so happy to see you! 🩵 Thank You so much for being here! In my opinion the aluminum hooks run smoother through the yarn and almost glides. But I have read if you have wrist and or hand pain that plastic might be better. 🩵🩵

Dear Gina, I finally got a chance to watch this!! I’m going to try to crochet..again. Thank you so much for posting this! Last time I tried I noticed my foundation chain was very crooked! I didn’t know why, got frustrated and put it away. I’m going to stop at hobby lobby sometime soon. I need a hook for 4 weight yarn. The one I have is for 5 weight. In your expert opinion do you think it’s easier to learn on thicker yarn??? 🤔 Thanks Gina!! You’re the best!🥰

More than likely once you start the next couple of rows it should look more straight. I absolutely love thicker yarn! I think it’s so much easier. Scrub-Ology by Yarn Bee 🐝 is one of my favorite yarn to work with and it’s a number 5. It also works up quicker. 😍 You’re the best and I am so thankful for you being here. 🙏❤️Let me know what you decide. 📣

@@GinaLaythanks for replying! I stopped at hobby lobby and bought an assortment pack of crochet hooks. I have plenty of yarn so I’m going to use what I have. I noticed I have loads of scrap yarn. Any suggestions on what can be done with it? When in doubt ask a pro… 🧶 ❤

Omgosh lol 😆 I am hardly a pro. You are the cutest! I am super excited for your crochet hooks! Yay! 👏 Depending on how much yarn you have and what type, you could make a washcloth or granny squares! ( I can definitely help with this if you are unsure) to make a blanket. Sewing all the squares together. You could make yarn paint. Also, you can use the extra yarn for practicing stitches that you need practice in! 😁🫶🥰
