When I was raising my kids I had yarn stashed EVERYWHERE. Even in their closets. Lol! When we lost our house I sacrificed my stash. Now I not only have a yarn "room", I am working on having the whole apartment look like my house did! Lol. It's a very small apartment, but I love being surrounded by my yarn once again!

Always leave your hook with your project that's what I do or get some of the sale tags from dollar store and tie on project with the hook size or sticky notes with hook size Kayla just a suggestion for all of us

Hi Kayla, I made some socks out of the bloom yarn last year for the ladies in my church. They loved them. I am making some mini stockings for my craft fair. I'm making some of your little cups too. I'm also making some covers for tootsie pops. They look like snow men with a scarf.

I have an afghan started using 6 sided granny squares. I watched Jayda in Stitches making one. Im using 5 different colors of pink/mauve, each square a single shade of one of the pinks. The centers are all white, then 2 rows of the pinks. Then edge the colors in single crochet in black and then a double crochet in light gray. All the yarns have a glitter strand so each 'square' will sparkle. Im making it for my godmothers sister, for Christmas. It will look like a sparkely flower garden! Im excited to finish it to see how it turns out. I hope you can get your surgery and be well into healing by Christmas.

I’ve had granny squares on my mind as well. I’m thinking of a dog sweater with granny squares. Also a retro granny afghan like the one on the back of the couch on The Roseanne Show. Lol parlor! I haven’t heard it called that in 60 years! My grandparents and aunt had a parlor. The dining room was used as the everyday living room. But when company came, they entertained them in the parlor. This was a room without a speck of dust. Doilies, collector spoons and bells, and that awful picky horsehair sofa. I’m old!

I know what you mean about starting something new. I’m at that crossroad now. Just found out I’m getting new carpet and trying to figure out where to put all my furniture for 2 hrs… my rooms are small….I get anxiety easy. My yarn room is my bedroom.
