I figured it out! Since so many other people are having trouble, I figured I would share! I also am used to amegurumi, so I put it in those terms. Part one: 5sc in a mr SC, hdc, DC, hdc, SC (repeat until you hit 16 rows) Part 2: SC, hdc, DC inc, hdc, SC SC, hdc, DC, DC inc, hdc, SC SC, hdc, 2 DC, DC inc, hdc, SC SC, hdc, 2dc, DC inc, DC, hdc, SC SC, hdc, 2dc, DC inc, 2dc, hdc, sc Continue adding one DC to either side of the increase trying to keep the increase around the same spot (opposite the SC, hdc start) continue till you have 17 SC. Part 3: DC, DC inc repeat 2dc, DC inc repeat 3dc, DC inc repeat Continue adding 1 DC before each inc until you hit 25 DC, DC inc. I adjusted the pattern a but for part 3 so I don't get the end product being a hexagon, I'll comment the change I made since it is a bit complicated and some people might not want that. Hope this helps!!

Here is the other way to do part 3 to avoid the hexagon shape. Whatever is in the () repeat it until you have enough to finish the part outside of the () DC, DC inc 2 DC, DC inc 3 DC, DC inc 2 DC, (DC inc, 4 DC) DC inc, 2 DC DC inc, 5 DC 3 DC, (DC inc, 6 DC) DC inc, 3 DC 7 DC, DC inc 4 DC, (DC inc, 8 DC) DC inc, 4 DC DC inc, 9 DC 5 DC, (DC inc, 10 DC) DC inc, 5 DC 11 DC, DC inc 6 DC, (DC inc, 12 DC) DC inc, 6 DC DC inc, 13 DC 7 DC, (DC inc, 14 DC) DC inc, 7 DC 15 DC, DC inc 8 DC, (DC inc, 16 DC) DC inc, 8 DC DC inc, 17 DC 9 DC, (DC inc, 18 DC) DC inc, 9 DC 19 DC, DC inc 10 DC, (DC inc, 20 DC) DC inc, 10 DC DC inc, 21 DC 11 DC, (DC inc, 22 DC) DC inc, 11 DC 23 DC, DC inc 12 DC, (DC inc, 24 DC) DC inc, 12 DC DC inc, 25 DC

Hey! I have a question about the second part of the pattern, what you mean by “do the () until you have enough to finish outside of it”
@gkeller10318 ай бұрын
@@ocean.brxxzeI assume they mean to repeat the part in parentheses until the remaining number of stitches is the right amount to finish the rest of the row (the part after the parentheses)

So I understand part 3 like this: 1: one double crochet, then increase (two double crochets in one Stich) 2: two double crochet, increase 3: three double crochet, increase And so on until row 25, there it should be: 25 double crochet, increase Hope that helps ☺️🌷

@Carleygal333 Жыл бұрын
I think I figured out part 2 though I’m not 100% sure, but what I did was when I would get to the “middle” of the double crochets I did an increase (ex. If we are on a row that requires 10 dc, I did the 5+6 stitches together as an increase and then proceed with the dcs, hdc, sc)

@@ambercole44 hey so the abbreviations: sc=single crochet, hdc= half double crochet, dc= double crochet single crochet=insert hook through stitch, yarn over, pull through the stitch, yarn over, pull through the remaining two loops half double crochet=yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull through the stitch, yarn over, pull through the remaining three loops double crochet=yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull through stitch, yarn over pull trough two loops, yarn over, pull through the remaining two loops when it says "one stitch 2dc" thats an increase meaning you put two double crochets in the same stitch in part 3 when it says that with the "one stitch in between" you do one increase, one double crochet, repeat around when it says continue the pattern you need to do an increase, *amount of regular dc's in there own stitch indicated by row number*, repeat so for example- row 2: increase, 2 dc, repeat around or row 13: increase, 13 dc, repeat around if you run into more problems ill try my best to help!
