Thank you for sharing your work. question, I made this for my 5 lb toy puddle using the H Hook crocheted lightly and it was to sm, then I went to SM tutorial and followed using G Hook and I crocheted tightly, to make smaller as SM is usually to big for my dog, It came out super big, How to adjust stitich count to size in between? multiplies of what can I use, Thank you Hope this makes sense.

Try using a 5.5mm hook or even a 6mm hook for the XS or try using a 4.5mm hook on the small size.

Make your chain to fit the widest part of the chest. Make sure it’s even number.

@@shel-b9528 I have a Chihuahua approximately that size. I tried my best to follow the pattern. I started with 44 stitches, so then when she splits I did the 6 rows with 22 stitches and decreased the same way on the other side but I ended up with more stitches at the neck. You could leave it bigger or I just decreased (I think every 5th stitch) during the round of red you do after the arms connected at the top. I hope I wasn't too confusing.
