It's great being able to follow along, pause or go back and watch certain parts. Some crochet patterns can be very confusing. Made the hat but wanted it enclosed at the top so at the end I followed the pattern but did a round of single crochet after every decrease until the hole was small then just sewed it up....I'm very happy, thx for such a great tutorial!!!

I have to say ..yiu are a born teacher! Your instructions are clear and concise..the angle of the camera is EXCELLENT. I would only say to zoom in a little closer to your work so newbies can see the stitches better...and if using a lighter or white yarn to use a darker background. Hope to see more videos from you in the future. I am definitely a subscriber and will pass your channel on to others.Thanks for your time 😊

Love the pattern. I have a tip I learned I will share with you. When you are slip stitching your rib cuff together, instead of slip stitching through both thicknesses, slip stich through the back stitch of the side the hook is on and the front loop of the other side. You will have a less noticeable ridge.

I repeated rows 2 to row 6 /4 times. Ending with row 4dc row then row 3 fpsc. The next 5 rows dec rows , then sewed top together, and tie off. I used Red heart Super Saver /Stripes /Latte. then adding a pompom to finish it off

Hi Sherry, I am not sure how that would work as this is done in the round. Not sure I understand what you are asking! Thanks for watching.
@medicgrrl1236 жыл бұрын
You could, but it might look a little different because you would have to turn, instead of going in a round. It's definitely not impossible to do it that way.

If you join the ribbing strip using only one loop of each row you are join, you get a seamless look. Also less bulk.

Felicia, thank you for that tip! Also thanks for watching!

Shelby - Sorry for the super late response (never saw this comment) Hoping that you figured out. I crochet tight so maybe you want to go down a hook size. Thank you for watching.

Newer to crochet, Have no idea how you made it smaller at the end.. Was there skipping stitches? Making single crochet in every other stitch? ...
@yvonnemetz16 жыл бұрын
Hi there, you make it smaller by decreasing at the end. I show it at the end of the Video. Stay tuned though I am going to do another Video of this Pattern but doing a Full Hat and Showing the Messy Bun Version also. Thank you for watching.

If I wanted to continue this and make a full hat do I just keep sc 2 together until the top closes up more and weave the yarn in and out and pull closed or what do you suggest????
@yvonnemetz16 жыл бұрын
Tracey, yes you would keep on going til you have about 9-10 stitches and then sew it closed. Thank you for watching!

I am having trouble getting the 60 double crochets evenly on the brim. How many rows did you do for the brim ?
@yvonnemetz17 жыл бұрын
Hi Ann, I ended up with 70 rows for my brim. So I did 70 DC - How many did you have? If for example you ended up with 64 - you would do 64 DC not the 60 that's in the actual pattern. The Designer did 60 only because that was the size she had for her brim. Hope this makes sense. If not please let me know or you can re-watch the video at this point 7:37. Thank you.

Thank you I have torn it out 4 times ! Going to see how it is tomorrow when I do the next row !
