Thank you for comparing the yarn . because a lot of people would say use cotton but it can be expensive so using acrylic is another good way thank you

Thank you! I am making mine with acrylic because I have a lot of it and some are colors given to me that I don't particularly like for any project. This will work and I appreciate your experiment and video of the results.

Thank you so much for doing this experiment. I am a relatively new to crochet and doing market bags is something I want to try. I don't want to have to buy new yarn so learning that they both work is helpful. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I have been wondering how using acrylic yarn would hold up for these bags!

I’d like to know if it’s true that cotton will hold more weight than the acrylic. I’ve always heard cotton is stronger

Beautiful, I'm formative, concise 🧶tutorial.The sun 🌞will not deteriorate the acrylic as the cotton will.If you are making something for patio, outdoors, in direct sunlight, etc.

How did these bags wear? Which one lasted longer? Great video, just what I was looking for. x

I'm getting close to being able to finish up the second installment I'd planned. I unexpectedly had to completely switch video editing software and have been learning a whole new way of doing things, so it's taken longer than expected. But (spoiler alert) they've both been doing a great job for me so far. :-) The more detailed video should be up soon!

Hi mellisa! This pattern is the one that im looking for. But do u mind if i ask u something? Coz i'm lil bit confused. In 2nd row, you chain 3,dc in same st, and continue 2dc in a st. And before you sl st on the top of 3 chain, how many dc's do you have ? I repeat it for about 3times, and in the end i got 26 dc's. I'm curious is it my mistake, or it is 26 dc's indeed (before you sl st in top of it)? Thanks anw, 💕💕❤️❤️
@oditaukulele4 жыл бұрын
*I mean of, 2 dc in every st around
@melissafrisella72044 жыл бұрын
@@oditaukulele Hi, I'm happy to help to try to clear it up. For this pattern, all of your beginning chain 3’s will count as your first DC of the round. So at the end of the first round, you’ll have your original chain three, plus 11 actual DC’s. You will slip stitch into the top of that chain 3. From there, you’ll make the chain 3 that will begin round two, and place your first actual DC into the same space where that chain 3 originates. This should leave the 11 actual DC’s from that first round, and when you make 2 DC’s in each of those, it should make 24 stitches total-23 actual DC’s, and your first chain 3 which counts as the 24th. I hope this helps!
@oditaukulele4 жыл бұрын
@@melissafrisella7204 aahh see, so the first chain 3 is part of 24 dc's? So that one dc in the same place as the chain 3, it makes first set of 2 dc's in every st?

I just winged these and didn't write the pattern down. I thought afterwards that I should've, because I liked how they turned out. I keep meaning to sit down and look at them, then try to recreate and write it down as I go. When I do that, I will put a link here for you!

Melissa Frisella That would be awesome. I’ve started another pattern and am not crazy about pattern. I’ll do this one and maybe I can wing it. Ha. Thank you and this market bag is great. You’d get a lot of hits if you had a pattern. Thanks! Happy Holidays!
