I love it! I'm impressed that you didn't seem to take it too hard when you realized that your first make would be too heavy for a summer garment. ugh i also love a chunky seam, im glad im not alone! i always end up slip stitching my pieces together because i love the slightly puckered look on the right side and the chunky, very obviously handmade seam on the inside. gives our finished works so much more personality! i'll have to look up how to do the zig zag stitch

Found this somewhere on the internet: Finished item weight, Divided by total skein weight, Times total skein yards, Equals total yards used for final item. ( FIW / TSW x TSY = TYFI ) I use this A LOT 😊

If I decide the project isn’t working out I don’t unravel it.. I just crochet from it lol. It’s easier to store if I’m not using it right away. I do a lot of reworking a project because I don’t like the way it looks. Yea it’s more work but when it’s right it’s worth it.

Do you join your yarn when you run out of the current skein? Yes, the heaviness! Been there, done that! Sometimes you shouldn't finish a project if you don't love it. I love love the open stitches and that the red isn't a primary red but a richer kind of red. Horrendous! ;)

I use the russian knot to tie skeins of yarn together. It's simple and is easy to hide through out a project🎃 Totally agree with the red color!
