Oh my goodness. I keep seeing this cardigan and your version is fantastic. I think there's so much fun things you could do with that. That could be really fun to do different stitches for each Square, or doing it with Tunisian crochet, though that might make it a bit heavy. I've made my own, and it's a nice and relatively simple make. Roughly, this is what I've got for the written directions. Sc - single crochet (US terms) Ch - chain Fo - fasten off Ch 16 Round 1: sc in first chain from stitch, sc 14, ch 1, turn Round 2-16: sc 15, ch 1, turn Round 17: sc 15, fo Border: slip stitch with border color in any corner, ch1, sc to next corner, sc 3 in same corner stitch, sc to next corner, sc 3 in same corner stitch. Repeat until you get to starting corner, then sc 2 in same stitch. Slip stitch in chain 1, fo. I needed 4 panels across for the back, rather than her 3, but otherwise my dimensions were the same: 4x4 panels for back, two 1x4 panels for the front, two 3x4 panels for the sleeves. 40 total granny squares. 1) Sew the front panels to the back. They shouldn't meet in the middle, as it won't leave room for your neck, if you do a wider front. 2) Sew sleeves at shoulders. Match the middle of the sleeve middle square with the shoulder seam where front and back meet for a good fit. 3) Sew the sides, from wrist to bottom of cardigan.

Now the ribbing. For sleeves (which will be attached later), chain stitches until you can fit it over your wrist and it fits nicely where you want it to sit. You can work in the round or work flat then sew up the sides. Either way. 1) Single crochet using in foundation chain, ch 1, then sc using back chain only until it's as long as you like. Make 2. Sew onto sleeve. You may need to gather sleeve to for in. For the front ribbing, 1) slip stitch into a stitch at one side, sc all the way across. You may want to do 2 sc in same stitch where the front meets the back to round out. 2) ch 1, turn, sc in front post, sc in back post (post, not stitch like the sleeves), repeat pattern until end. 3) ch 1, turn, repeat pattern. Front post stitches go in front post stitches, back posts in back posts. Repeat until it's as big as you like. Bottom is done the same way.
