Nice vest, Michelle! Quick tip - something I learned during my weaving adventures, in addition to using B&W photos to assess color contrast, you can twist one strand of yarn (like a barber pole) around another strand of yarn to get an idea of how they will work up together. I will sometimes take a small sample of a skein with me when I’m shopping for a contrast skein, and do the twisting right in the store! Really helps! Keep up the good work!

Very cute. Love it. And you're right, adult people want properly sized goose buttons too. Oh, and there are insulation board skirting things that you can get to put around the outside bottom of the camper to enclose it which will keep it warmer.

I love it! Those colors look so good. You talking about those teacher sweaters from the 90s reminded me of a quilted Noah's Ark vest my aunt made for me from a kit. One day in first grade I walked in and my teacher was wearing the same vest!

as someone who doesn’t celebrate christmas i really appreciate you mentioning wanting to make a more winter themed one without the christmas motives. i was really surprised when i saw the colours in the thumbnail as you usually work with warm colours, but this looks soooo good! i’ve actually been wanting to make a vest out of squares so this inspo comes at a perfect time! the gingham and goose patches are my favourite too☺️

This is super cute!!! about the buttons- i love the flowers. I keep seeing people on instagram make custom buttons out of shrinky dink plastic. I think they make them, shrink them, add a layer of resin to make them shiny and harder. You could make your own custom goose buttons!!!

As a teacher, I love this! It really makes me want to do some tapestry squares to make into a vest too! I get what you mean about the buttons. I’m wondering if you might try making your own buttons with some polymer clay? You could get the exact size/shape you want and not have to rely on the store to have what you need! Just a thought.
