I love that you make crochet projects based on obscure references. I would love to make the blanket on the couch from that 70s show, The blanket on the couch downstairs from that 90s show, and the blanket on Amy’s couch in Big Bang theory. Because if no one else ever gets the reference, it still makes your brain happy.

I really like how the scarf turned out! I've only watched the first season of Umbrella Academy, but I love the look of this scarf. In the future, if you have a color-cast screenshot, you might try "editing" the photo and white balancing the background. It should give a pretty good representation of the true colors of other things in the picture. I've done it myself for certain things and it worked out well for me. Thank you for the video! Always fun to watch your process. 😊

Im literally watching this attaching my red heart granny square yarn squares with the red heart super saver and laughing my ass off when you are calling it the “acrylicest” yarn 😂😂😂 you’re not wrong 😭 like I love me a budget acrylic but they perhaps made it a wee too budget

Currently learning how to crochet and working on my first project which happens to be a granny square scarf. I really like how you finished each square with the the double crochet. I think I'm going to do the same with mine. I appreciate that you show and tell us so much of your process. Your scarf came out beautiful!

I really love the how the color scheme ended up. Its similar to your usual 70s/80s style but just slightly different with the added greys and such. Ended up super gorgeous!

I'm a big fan of the colors you chose! I think it turned out great, and I think the warm vs cool is very balanced. I'm also a sucker for oversized scarves with massive tassels. Might have to make my own version this fall!

The scarf ended up sooo beautiful!!! I love your personality so much, too!! Your thought process goes a lot like mine especially when it comes to color choices. I would have made a warm tone and a cool tone version, though. That would be me just satisfying both sides of the coin....either way would be 100% right. You did the time saving way by mixing them! Smart!!!

In the states I think you can get all the yarn at Michael’s, Meijer, Walmart and Joanne. I don’t know which store sells which ones but those stores are where to go 😊

I love that you're combining scenes and going with your heart but if you want to use another tool in your recreation projects, a lot of photo programs have a "white balance" option where you click on something you know is white or black and it removes the overall tinting like it should take out the blue cast and show true colors.

Thanks for sharing your scarf journey! I enjoyed it a lot. I love Klaus but didnt really pay attention to the scarf (I might had been crocheting while watching) so I'm really glad you did and showed the result. Maybe I make this at some point, too, I think it looks super cute!

Red Heart seems to have a lot of inconsistency in texture from skein to skein... sometimes it's soft, sometimes it's like crocheting with rope. I'm a bit of a masochist at times so I just use it anyway regardless lol then throw the project in the washer/dryer and it softens up considerably. Random side note: I love the music you use in your videos!

I always see red heart at the thrift store, often in white or that sickly toddler Easter dress pink. Red heart is so scratchy. I still pick it up for non- soft projects. Right now I’m making granny square pumpkins ( I too am sick of granny stitch, but pumpkins), and used some cheap brown red heart I found at goodwill because it’s strictly decor. But yeah, red heart is not good quality.

weight 4 covers both worsted and aran so thats likely the issue you were having with 4 mediums being different thickness. probably a better system they coulda figured out but thats how whoever came up with it and made it one of the measurement standards wanted it.
