Thank you so much for this video! I'm making one myself and I couldn't find any videos with the collar and was very confused about it! Quick question. Hi! amazing tutoiral. I've been watching many many harry styles cardigan crochet tutorials and this one is so concise and clear. I think I will follow this one. However, I have a question about the collar. @2:50 You divided the square in half with those slip stitches. After you attached the collar, where does that extra flap of yellow/orange sit? Is it under the collar? Or is it on the inside (wrong side) of the cardigan? I hope I'm not interpreting the instructions wrong, but I'm kind of confused haha.
@JaneWirawan3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I ended up attaching the extra flap underneath the collar and sewed them together :)

@@JaneWirawan ah okay thank you!! I've seen other tutorials where they knit that piece that attaches to the collar with a diagonal edge (like a triangle). I feel like your method would be easier (in my skillset) but would you say there are any pro/cons of your method versus the triangle method?
@JaneWirawan3 жыл бұрын
@@Amakiseul I'm sorry I don't get what you meant by triangle method. Can you show me a clip of the triangle method you mentioned?

@@JaneWirawan Sorry I'm bad at explaining haha. kzbin.info/www/bejne/np7Fkp-ficydgqs Here is a clip of what I mean. The yellow piece is the triangle I was describing. So it seems that instead of doing those slip stitches across like you did, they just made that piece with a diagonal edge. Do you have any suggestion of which method would be better? :)
@JaneWirawan3 жыл бұрын
@@Amakiseul oh I see.. She decreased the squares that are attached directly to the collar. but IMO I think it might be simpler to use my method. And you can still change the color arrangement if all the panels are squares. If you are fixed with the color arrangement, I think it is also okay to use the decreasing method :)

Hi may i know how did u wash this cardigan, cause i had made one too and i am afraid that i would ruin the stitches and colours once i've washed it. Do u hand wash or use machines and what is the temperature of the water we should use to wash it with?
@JaneWirawan3 жыл бұрын
Hi. For knit and crochet clothing you should always hand wash, don't use a machine because machine washing can ruin your stitches. Some say it's okay to wash knitwears in the washer on delicate setting, but I've never done it before. You should use cold or warm temp water, as hot water might shrink your clothing. Also, I usually dry my knitwear flat, because hanging them will stretch the stitches. Hope this helps :)

@JaneWirawan2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Very sorry for the late reply, I don't know how I missed your comment. I first make chains on the body panel, just to create path to attach my collar. This way I can see if the chain is crooked and fix it before I attach the collar. I hope this make sense. The way I make the chains is the same way as adding chains to the edge of your crochet panel, but instead of the chains being on the edge, I make it on the panel itself.

Thank you! :) This used to happen to me too in my earlier squares 🤣 I fixed it by counting my chains and stitches. I know it might be time consuming at first, but the result will always be a perfect square. And remember to stitch onto the same place each time (either the stitch, front loop or back loop). Stitching into different places even unintentionally might make your piece a bit crooked. Hope this helps! Good luck with your crochet piece ! :)

Kak cara nyambungin bagian lengan sama bagian bulatan kecil tuh gimana? Terima kasih 🙏
@JaneWirawan3 жыл бұрын

Kalo mau cari tutorialnya keyword nya apa? Makasihhhhh
@JaneWirawan3 жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqiwoIBpbN2JqM0 Bisa coba liat dr video ini. Konsepnya sama, jd di bagian yg mau ditempel kerahnya dibuat slip stitch jd ada chain buat nempelin kerahnya. Chainnya sbnrnya cuma supaya lebih rapi aja wkt dijahit pakai invisible stitch.
