I have this all prepared to slow cook overnight since we're in a heat wave. However, this may have just become my fav go-to small kitchen appliance. Thanks for your recipe.

This might very well be my favorite recipe of yours so far and that's saying something with the amazing food you have been showing us lately. I'm happy as we brought a slow cooker months ago and haven't used it yet! Now I'm looking forward to it. Thanks a lot Todd.

This works better if you put the crockpot on warm if youre going to do 8 hours. The egg gets done without being overcooked and the sides are firm but not burned or hard.

I’ll definitely be trying this.

This would be awesome for summer months when I don’t feel like using oven. We have enough eggs and milk from our goats and chickens. Thank you. Great recipe.

That's really a full breakfast..so easy! I've only made stews in my crock pot, and really nice beef pepper steak..I'll have to try this soon! You're right about the slow cooker..here in Texas you can get one with a lift out crock for about $20, and it seems to last a long time! This recipe..it's a bit much for just my daughter and I, but I could take some servings for lunch too! ☺☺☺
@simpleeasycooking6 жыл бұрын
Similar price to mine and the pot lifts out as well :)

Tater tots would be easier to cut the servings more evenly too. I'd add some mushrooms and bell pepper, too. But it is a wonderful, easy idea for breakfast.

I am wanting to make this for eight people Christmas morning. If I were to put it on warm instead of low temperature and let it cook for about 8 to 10 hours do you think it would be fully cooked?

That's funny.. I was just talking to my husband about finding a crock pot breakfast for Christmas morning, instead of the usual french toast that I make.

That is so cool Todd, that I must try that. I crocked a meaty smoked ham bone overnight with water, cooking onion, chunks of carrots and whole black peppercorns. Now all I have to do is strain ham broth, separate the meat from the nasty bits and throw in a few handfuls of washed yellow split peas into the pot. Making French Canadian yellow split pea soup. YUM. I hate the German version, made with green split peas. Makes me want to spin my head like Linda Blair aka Exorcist movie. LOL
@simpleeasycooking6 жыл бұрын
omg.... i so want to try that!!!
@ShalimarPerfume6 жыл бұрын
@@simpleeasycooking If you don't want to cook up a whole bone in ham and eat ham for days, get a couple of smoked ham hocks from butcher. Where I live there is a top quality ham shop that sells hams that cost big bucks, but they also sell meaty ham bones for cheap, cause they have a little restaurant selling ham sammies and soup.
