I have chicken drumsticks in the frig and an Express, so this sounds great. I have Pressure cooked for many years (which I have many different size Pressure Cookers, Canners, Etc. and made so many of my own Jam, Salsa, Spaghetti Sauce, Etc. recipes, and stored them in my "Cold Pantry", lol) However, this is my first electric cooker (which did have me a bit nervous) And of course, the book that came with it had a few recipes, but they all appeared to be from Emeril's Kitchen, LOL... Needless to say, it wasn't much help at all for "regular everyday cooking", so Thank you... Going to do your chicken recipe tonight.....

hallo john i have few queires regarding crockpot express 1) Non stick pot ? i am skeptical that it doesn't last long 2) how and with what do you clean the non stick pot 3)Can i use insta pot or other pots stainless steel pot in crock pot as replacement ..

Yes non-stick Well I am a year in on one 6 months on the other both still just fine. Now that said only bamboo tools go in the bottom for me. I clean the hole thing with a green scratchy pad NO DISH WASHER EVER. Only broken one out of 6 is the Instant Pot Duo80 steam valve lasted 6 months and had to be replaced. Any pot will not work unless it can seal with the lid AND THAT GOES FOR ANY BRAND. Lot of people spread nasties about the express and many are paid to do so. I am not sponsored by either and like both and have both.

@@neverletgoministries1623 It's not sealed. Check the rubber seal. Also check the bobber seal that there is no food on them. Run under cold water and never put lid in dishwasher it can damage the seals.

@@blackwidowblanks9234 thank you. i ended up just shutting it off. I have never put it in dishwasher, so it must have not had the seal on right. I think it was 50 minutes when I finally shut it off. The chicken was done!!!!!!

Didn’t even clean the chicken! I see feathers and that yellow part on the bottom of the legs which is easily peeled off so I know the skin wasn’t pulled back to remove fat and slime under the skin.

Well you don't like the way I do it that's for sure. My chicken comes with Free feathers Free yellow part and Free Fat under the skin. Those are Flavor Freebies I think I shall keep them. Thanks for stopping by and have a yummy day !
