Hello AUNT LU ....I usually really like your Recipes but , this is too complicated & too many hoops to jump thru , Sorry but , I don't do Complicated .... Good news though , I do have a tip for you about cutting in some butter & making it easier.....Whether it's cutting butter into sugar or cutting into flour there is one trick to make it alot easier ... 1.) First , freeze a stick of butter until frozen solid .... & do Not bring it out until you are ready to add the butter... 2.)Take a cheese grater or a grater box , grate the butter thru the large grater holes directly into the sugar as evenly spread out as possible & layering sugar over butter intermittently as possible, then start either cutting in with cutting tool or mixing in by hand ... Either way it should at least be a lot easier to get it cut in ..... Hope it helps out some...

And when using the pastry cutter, cut the butter in before adding things like nuts. Looks like a great dish.
