Yummy! They all looked delish. I very rarely have buttermilk on hand, so when I make biscuits or cornbread or anything that calls for buttermilk, I make my own. Super simple. 1 tbsp of vinegar to one cup of milk. You can also use one tbsp of lemon juice to one cup milk. Just place it in fridge for like 5 min and vio-la buttermilk.

Thanks so much for crockpot soups. The Brunswick stew brought back memories of my childhood. My sweet 8th grade home economics teacher (over 40 plus years ago) marked my answer wrong on a test regarding Brunswick stew. The question said “traditionally Brunswick stew is made with what meats?” I answered squirrel or rabbit or opposum. That is what my grandmother put in hers. I had to prove to my sweet teacher that I was right. The encyclopedia verified my correct answer. The key word being “traditionally”. Most Brunswick stew is now made with both chicken & pork.
