This episode has one of the greatest uses of pre-existing music in all of anime. It's fantastically timed and perfectly selected. It encapsulates the mood and the whole scene is enriched by it. (It's called New World Symphony by Antonin Dvorak.)

Also, the move gum gum storm being used here for the first time to beat the guy who'd been keeping the rain as his big plan was inspired. Oda is a genius. On top of that, keep track of the sun when Luffy is beating the big bad. It almost always highlights the end of the fight. Crocodile breaks through the ground and the sun shines down on Robin and Cobra under the city streets through layers of bedrock, exposing Crocodile and ending everything. And at this point, no one had any idea that Luffy had anything to do with Nikka. Nikka wasn't even a name that had been dropped yet.

The Alabasta arc and Drum Island arcs are apart with the Alabasta saga.

Fullbody and Jango actually became friends off screen after the events of East Blue. The manga has bonus back stories that are covered at the start of each chapter, the only ones that ever got animated were Buggy's return to his crew and Koby's training with Helmeppo, which you guys already watched.

The third cover story after Buggy, Coby and Helmeppo was focused on Jango (but it was never animated as other cover stories so who are watching only the anime could be confusing) The title of the third cover story its: "Jango's Dance Paradise" Also there a short animated movie named "Jango's Dance Carnival" a dessert episode release among the main One Piece 2nd movie.

This episode is one of oda best finales to an arc, both the fight vs crocodile itself but also the symbolism behind it. The fact that Crocodile was a man in the public eve but trying to conceal himself in the underground. Jut to have his activities forced to”into the light” for all to see his true self is just poetic in its truest sense. And this is another case of luffy defeating his enemies in the worst way they imagine, by killing their dreams and ambitions, effectively “killing” them in a way more brutal then death Glad to see you guys loving the arc and can’t wait to see your thoughts on the next coming arcs!

Alabasta is in the grandline. the way the next island thing goes is with the logpose they got from crocus at reverse mountain when they first entered the grand line. the log pose points them to the direction of the next island when they are done their current island and it leads all the way to the end to the last island where the one piece supposedly is

drum island when chopper came with a broken leg, full body hurt with the mushroom was crazy emotional. I got goosebumps but the kind of where you tear up and shit. But Alabasta is the best arc yet as a whole. Every straw hat had a fight and stepped they're game up. Best fight was Zoro vs. Mr. 1 for me. Luffy had to many losses and they somehow had to let the maincharacter win at the end. In Zoro's fight you feel like he really improved with the "cut nothing and cut everything". Luffy just punched himself to victory as usual after some time and some emotional moments.
