Dear Dr. Okolie, You demonstrated that we can remove items from our questionnaires if they result in increasing the reliability. I have a similar case where I might need to follow this procedure but I have some questions: 1. Will we not be criticized in our viva when reporting and explaining this in our study? AND Can it be supported by any source? 2. It's assumed that the values of the removed item are not calculated or included when analyzing the questionnaire?! I appreciate it and thank you in advance. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Thank you for the video, it was very useful. My question is what of if the reliability test is less than 0.3 what do think is the cause and how can it be rectify?
@Dr.Okolie Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the tutorial. If the reliability test is less than 0.3, it could mean that your data are not showing evidence of meeting reliability assumptions (i.e., difficult to know whether your questionnaire respondents clearly understood the item statements in the questionnaire). One way to remedy this is to ensure that you personalize the item statements, and keep the language pretty simple. You can consider recollecting new data using a questionnaire with item statements described above.

How will the different variables or research questions be demarcated on the spreadsheet. Again will the entire sample be used for reliability test

What is the reference range for good reliability
@Dr.Okolie3 ай бұрын
Reliability values ranging from 0.70 to 0.95 are good.

Is it acceptable if I report the l cronbach’s alpha of each sub-scale and then also calculate the reliability of the entire scale and report is as total cronbach’s alpha coefficient ? Please answer me I need help
@Dr.Okolie7 ай бұрын
Yes. If a main variable has sub-scales, you need to show the reliability coefficient for each sub-scale and you can also show the entire scale.

How do you know if an item is not doing well?
@Dr.Okolie8 ай бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnO0Z5tuoKimbJI You can check the the items individually using Cronbach's alpha reliability analysis
