I was at the Grand Canyon for 2 weeks in 1998 and was very careful exploring around, and I remember seeing this young lady sitting at the very edge of the cliff within inches doing some sort of yuga? or meditation? and I thought that was quite risky.... I hiked to the bottom crossing the river to Phantom Ranch where I spent 7 days.... Wonderful experience, but you also have to be mindful of Rattlesnakes as I saw one near Bright Angel Trail.... The other few days was touring around the South & North rim of the canyon.

Replace signs with a painted line, then a rail, then a fence, then a wall, then a safety catch net, then just fill the canyon so there's nothing to fall into, but when someone trips on a grain of sand, they'll sue because it wasn't their fault or responsibility.

I’ve hiked the Grand Canyon 3 times, I’m sure many others hiked it more than I have. Thing is there are plenty of signs about dangers of falling & dehydration. It’s all about common sense. I was amazed each time heading down or up Bright Angel, people running down without water. Easy to walk down but going back up to the rim is slow and hard. Distance is deceiving.

I wonder what’s going through the mind of someone who falls. They are on vacation, thoughts of future events, thoughts of health life is going, what they have, plans for tomorrow’s activities and so on. Then the moment of hard time reality. As the split second of the moment as they fall seeing the hight of the fall and as they fall faster by the second and as the hard ground comes closer. I just wonder what really is going through their mind as It Is all about too end. Life really is short when living on the edge. CWA

You aren't going to feel very cool when you're being scraped off the ground so the public doesn't have to feel grossed out when we go out to enjoy nature, behind the safety barriers.

We all need to focus on increasing the ANIMAL HABATAT!!!! We need to push Legislation to increase the size of federally protected land and Sea by 100x. And we need that space protected from hunters, roads, low flying aircraft, fishermen and tourists that litter and create waste. The DEVELOPERS are winning :(. every ocean has a line of houses on it, every lake and every river has houses being built on them. The natural habitats we have need to be protected on both land and sea. No fishing and netting zones need to be established. in 50 years the only way you will be able to see animals are 1. as pets, 2. in a Zoo and 3. In a small fenced off preserve. There will be no Habitat left for our grand children and the ocean will be mostly empty unless we act now. Mail your Congressmen and Senators and President.
