Great information. I dont like to go above 72F in flower after the buds start forming. Then ramp it down slowly to 65F, then back up slowly to 72F. Less stress and better smelling flowers. To get some nice color, I cold-water shock every other flush for 1 week.

I've done that exact thing with my last grow. Just getting ready to harvest drop the temperature around 65°F For the last 4 to 5 weeks of flower. and the Bud production is massive.

I run LEDs and keep temps around 78-82F for veg then work my way to about 74F by the end of flower. Night time temps usually get to about 64-66F. These temps seem to get me a good balance of quality, yield, density and terpene content 💚👨🏽‍🌾💨💨✌🏽

23-24C in day time and 17-18C at night time I keep temps at. I get frosted up buds within 3 weeks from flip. cold temps at night helps a lot while keeping a perfect balance in day time is hard but is possible. If done correctly you'll see some great results🎉

Another reason to run your lights at night is reduced rates for electricity , off peak is half of peak rate in many municipalities.

Genetics are the main factor keeping the AC in the room on energy efficient around 73 to 74. I’ve noticed a big increase in growth and health of my plants.

Ive got a/c on 24/7 here in Hawaii and a dehumidifier running 24/7 . I run my Temps in flower at 68° to 70° at night and stay around 75° with lights on. Humidity varies with rain outside, so i try to keep it around 60 to 65rh.vpd takes priority with the triggers I've set. I try to emulate fall conditions in my tent.

Very interested to see this study. Especially since I was of the understanding that lower temps caused the plant to produce anthocyanins which reduces their production of cannabinoids/ terpenes/flavonoids. 🤔 Either way I'm sick of fighting this desert. Looking into a mini split. ✌️💙🌱🌵

We've always known that lowering the temperature towards the end of harvest increases potency.. it's the way of nature. It wasn't until recent years / LED lights, that higher temperatures were promoted. I've always kept my room 75 day and 65 night. That's hard for most in a tent with an LED light that is not vented.. in my opinion that's where "80° is optimal"came from.

Important question: When they did the temperature test, did they maintain the high (or low) flowering temperature 24/7? Or more realistically with 12 hours at 70f (average ac'd home temp) and the other 12 hours at the higher temp? That is a huge difference that needs to be clarified please.

why isnt anyone talking about shifting vpd Raising and lowering your humidity in 12/12 cycle with 60/80% during flower can greatly increase trichome production

at 68f you'd be running 60+% humidity going by vpd chart, the video should have made reference to this

Its alll about STRESS! IM NEW AND I FIGURED IT OUR? Just like studies show hydroponic growing actually promotes healthy stress which creates more potency or at least higher levels of terps and oils but that goes hand in hand with potency which comes down to genetics and environmental conditions. I think that the cold is just another stressing technique but who knows.

I would love to see you do a video on aeroponics I can’t find much information on irrigation times how long to spray and how long between spraying does air need to be introduced to the root chamber and do these values change when increasing co2 I would love to hear the opinion of experts in the field

Hello Shane, it works , im guessing the cold keeps the terps in the plant instead of venting off gas. Less nitrogen when budding makes more thc.

Make it make sense. We run leds and they say optimal temps should be on the high scale. Run co2 and they say you need temps high. So wheres the happy spot? Just throw everything away that youve learned and slam the temps as low as you can get. The science hasnt been consistent over the years frfr.

no your conflating two things; higher temps and CO2 are better for GROWTH lower temps are better for the last weeks, the "ripening"/development of the buds after the growth is done
