The Canadian announcers are the same people we have commentate every game. They've seen it all, and they don't react to much. This is the most excited I've ever heard them. The French guys didn't commentate on hockey as often, I think, so they reacted more strongly.

***** yeah and television wasn't nearly as watched then anyways. I think because you weren't allowed professionals at the Olympics but the Soviets found a way around that and dominated for years, finally playing professionals for Canada and winning showed Canada was the better country. The Cold War tensions made it that much better to win.
@MrCrockaG8 жыл бұрын

Austin Camarena but i am Canadian and i dont like Crosby I think he whiner and crier. He is a big baby to me. If you want to see a real hockey player look at Bergeron. Bergeron is one of the best defensive forwards ever plus he is not whiner and crier. Bergeron is tough he played through a broken rib, cartilage damage and more in the 2013 Stanley cup playoffs. I know Crosby is the "Poster Boy" for the NHL but he is bad for the game. When little kids see him on the ice whinny and crying, kids will follow that and its bad for the future of the game.
@wallwawing148110 жыл бұрын

Canada is the best country in the world at hockey. No matter how hard the americans try, they will always fall short. No matter how much the americans try to make it their game, that will never ever happen. We repeated as Champions in Sochi for both men and women. I was just as happy to see the americans lose to Finland 5-0 in the bronze medal game. I'm proud to say that I've witnessed some of the greatest moments in Olympic Hockey history. From Crosby's Golden Goal to Marie Phillipe Poulin's Golden Goal in Sochi, we own hockey, and nothing is going to take that away from us. #CanadaFTW

No one but Canadians can understand the pressure these guys face when the red Maple Leaf is on their sweater...I don't think any team in all of sports has to play with as much pressure as the Men's Canadian Olympic Hockey team...Brazilian Soccer and American Basketball teams are not anywhere close to the expectations put upon Canada's Hockey team

funny seeing the BBC one because Brits typically dont care about hockey. hell most don't even know what it is, I wore an NHL jersey in london once and people were giving me funny looks, one guy thought it was a football "as in American NFL" shirt
@pascalfilfe775510 жыл бұрын
If you tell them NHL, they don't really know what it's about, but if you tell them it's hockey they'll understand. In all, if you want very real hockey in the UK, go to Scotland, they love it ever there. Unfortunately, do to budget cuts in Scotland by the British, they don't have an official hockey team, but many high schools and colleges (universities) have them, sadly no professional ones.

Tears of happiness flowed down upon my cheek as I watched the nation come together as one to celebrate the winning of the most important winter event.
