@King Cyrus, He already did; by removing Steven Recession Harper. Trudeau opened trade with 50 new countries [Billions in GDP growth and Millions of jobs], increased Military spending 70%, legalized Marijuana [campaign promise] created no out of pocket expense program for Prescription Medication. Only 2years in office and he's done more for Canada than 10years of Harper, who cut everything including closing Hospitals so he could give tax breaks to the rich and almost drove Canada into a Depression. Harper isn't worthy to shine Trudeau's shoe's.

American here, and I'm so grateful for all of Canada's continued unwavering support, candor, kindness, and just plain reliable friendship they've shown us here in the States. I'm a big fan of singing/know all the lyrics of 'O Canada', in both French and English. Even took an in-depth Canadian History course at my university-- which now I personally think should be made part of our standard education-curriculum in American grade-schools at least. Because it's about god-damn respect, and in my opinion I find the lack of general-public knowledge/of what little IS taught here (regarding even the most basic Canada facts) unacceptable. And besides, it's interesting! THANK YOU / MERCI, CANADA for being the best neighbors we could ever ask for! --Cheers from Pennsylvania :)

***** Bullshit if you didn't have the population that you do you in no ways would overwhelm Canada. Canada is a damn rich country that has access to the best weapons and tech in the world. Hell we even had nukes until we retired them because we deemed them unnecessary and phased them out for standard weaponry. On top of that you ask any marine or U.S Army solider that has ever even experienced joint U.S Canadian Training and they will tell you the same damn thing. Canadian Soldiers have superior training and are respected around the world for their fighting prowess. I'm not saying Canada is better but you cant just say that we would in no way be able to compare to "American Military might" If we had the same population it would be a different story. Also the U.S received so much military and financial aid from France during the revolutionary war that France went bankrupt shortly after the War. Also think about it this way. If Britain was closer to the U.S and it was logistically easier to transport troops and weapons the U.S would be a commonwealth country today. French people and An ocean are the basis of your countries Revolution. so stop with your damn U.S beats all crap. The U.S is a great country with a great history and culture. I love the U.S i lived in NYC for 3 years and it was wonderful. But please keep your nationalistic B.S to yourself thank you.

Someday I want to go to Gander Newfoundland/Labrador and just say "thank you so much". Same for the many other locations who did the same thing. If we would pay attention, the Canadians are our barometer of sanity. Thank you for being who you are.

On November 22 1963 i was in the 4th grade up here in Canada. When news came that JFK had been assassinated my teacher broke down in tears and went home ,we could hear other teachers just sobbing in the hallway. All the students were sent home early. From that day on i realized how close our countries are as friends and neighbours.

Same on 9/11. My grade 3 teacher was sobbing when she told us all to go out for recess. It was strange to us because it wasn’t scheduled but we weren’t going to argue with getting out of class so we made a B-line for the door. When we came back in after about 10 minutes we were ushered into the gymnasium where they had a few tube TVs on rolling carts. They turned on the news. They explained to us 3rd, 4th and 5th graders what was happening and that our American friends were dying. There was a church across the street from our school and the entire student body and faculty made our way over to pray for them. We made flags that combined the Stars and Stripes and Maple Leaf into one flag then hung them in our windows with the phrase “We Stand Together” written underneath. It was in those days after the tragedy that I realized as a young man just how important the relationship between our two countries is, and how I felt a genuine love and sorrow for people I had never met. I certainly wasn’t the only one either. Thanks for sharing your story my friend. Much love to our brothers and sisters in the U.S.A. 🇺🇸

Same story for me. Grade 1, teachers crying, home early. For some reason, I can distinctly remember a MOW railway crew reballasting the train tracks next to our house. We had to wait until the crew finished to cross the tracks to get home. Listened on the car radio to the never-ending news. Very much like 9/11. I also remember see LHO getting shot. Everybody was watching for a first glimpse of ‘The Man Who Killed The President’. If we gotta live next to someone, it’s way better that it be the US, than say Russia, or China. 2016 to 2020 excepted.

I was in 3rd grade when 9/11 happened, and i already knew back then how bad it was. Most kids were just shocked by the images but had no real idea what it meant. I was asking my teacher "How far from here is new york? (montreal is 8hours north of nyc) Will we send rescue troops and supplies? Does this mean they will go to war? Will we send soldiers with them? How many people died?" Even as young as 6 or 7yo, i had been through the border a couple times and visited the border post mini museums with my mom so i knew how friendly the relationship is between us

We are not cold ppl. We are trusted kind and decent people. We stand with America in many many wars. But we don't always stand in the limelight. We stand quietly in the background.. knowing we are tough people. Between Canada n the US there will always be the largest unprotected border in the world. What does that say you? And some may pass her by, lad, And some may scorn her hand, But we must be forever A part of that fair land. For everything we have son, That's good and fine and just Was washed in British blood And given to us on trust. "And we must keep that trust, son, Against the force of greed. And fight beside old England Whenever she's in need. And once again she's calling Across the Empire wide, And all her Empire answers: "You'll find us at your side" Oh yes, we're owned by England, But we own England, too, As you are part of me son, And I am part of you"

Canadians go to war with us Americans and die for us and the protection of America and we would do the same for Canada. How DARE some of you talk bad about Canada. This is why I have a love/hate relationship with nationalistic pride. You can be proud to be from a country but when pride turns to arrogance and thinking you're the best it can and WILL lead to hatred of others who have pride in being something different. I'm an American I love my country. I also love our BROTHERS up North. The great white fucking North salute to you. Sure we disagree we always will. Yes sometimes Americans pick on Canadians calling them little brothers and saying they have funny accents but the majority of Americans mean no harm by it. Same with Canadians i know some pick on Americans but there is no offense meant by it. It's literally what actual brothers do. We're two different nations. But just like brothers we still love each other to the end if someone were to go to war against Canada guess who would be the first nation to come to their defense aside from of course themselves. The USA. If a country were to invade us guess who it would be for us? it would be Canada. From this American to you Canadians I thank you and I love you. Canada-USA. Not allies but brothers.

Through eachothers darkest hours (9/11, war, now Covid-19) we the people all rise to support one another. Canadians who work in your healthcare system cross the boarders daily to show up to fight the invisible enemy we are facing together. Our PM says he will talk with your president because he know how important our neighbors/family our to us as we are important to them as well. Now as not a time to divide us because in this invisible war all we have is one another and that goes for the whole human race, the world! Watching this was just a reminder of love and compassion we all have inside us, that we are all a little braver because we have one another in these dark hours, that stretch to days, weeks, months ect. I thank everyone who has left a positive messages and if I don't make it for whatever reason, I am honored to have called you allies. Growing up in Detroit and being right across from Windsor I fell in love with Canada. My daddy loved taking us to spend family vacations there. It was literally part of my childhood and it may seem like not a big deal but to me it is. Just know the politicians are the ones who are acting crazy and they don’t speak on behalf of all Americans. I love y’all 💕

@@mikebrown7649 I completely agree with you sir. It’s like arguing while a boats sinking. It accomplishes absolutely nothing. I admit America is ran by lunatics and we have some extreme right wing gun toting people but for the most part Americans are good people who are big hearted. Canada will always, no matter what be near and dear to my heart. Every person I know has always said good and lovely things about Canada and Canadians. There not “ our” little brother like some say. Were just brothers period. 🇨🇦+🇺🇸

Those were the days when you could cross the border on a whim. All you needed was some ID, I usually used my drivers license. We didn't need passports, and so many who live near the border in Canada work in the US! But becauseof 911 we now have to have passports to cross.

As a Canadian, I spent the past 3 years plus trying to warn the people of the USA of what was to come and I know that there have been Americans for that same period of time trying to warn the people of Canada of what was to come. Im certain I was not the only one which means that a nation of citizens are constantly on guard for each other even when our political leaders are not. God Bless the USA.

I can still Hear his Voice when he would do the Opening of his NBC Nightly News Show every Evening while I Sat at my Dinner Table doing my Grammar School/H.S. Homework during the early 00’s up until he Retired in 2004 from that still current “REAL-News Show”. My Mom would watch Him(Tom Brokaw) Every-Night when she would Comeback home from Work; ahh 💭, the Memories of being a young kid.🥺

Canada has always been a fierce defender of our liberties. As much as we usually thank young Americans, we shall not forget young Canadians, young Britons, young Australians and young New-Zealanders, and many others, who gave their lives to save Old France. It is with honor that your sacrifices shall forever be remembered. Thank you Canada, thank everyone of you, nations that uphold the true value of freedom and peace....
