The record is good if you will look after it ofcourse, don't listen to them,you can watch some videos that show the parametres and stuff of the record,its good and wont harm your vinyls. (my english is bad sorry if you couldnt understand!)

Don't worry about the haters. This is obviously not a super high quality record player, but despite what some people claim, it will *not* damage your records in normal use. It's perfectly fine to use until you're ready to upgrade to something better. Enjoy it!

The " vinyl community" is full of "audiophiles" who turn their nose up at anyone who doesn't own a system that allegedly allows the listener to not only hear the music as if the band/orchestra etc were playing in their own front room, but it is sooo good as to allow the listener to hear the blood flowing around the musicians arteries, (as well as costing the same as a deposit on a house!) Newcomers to the vinyl scene are a bit like new drivers. You stall, forget the mirror, grind the gears a bit, but you eventually get it! (Yes there are those who never manage to drive). You learn by practice. I think people are trying to be helpful in suggesting you may want to look at a better player, but may be a little over zealous in the way they do so. I've been buying and playing records for just over 40 years and yes, I'd suggest something that's a little kinder to your vinyl. Like a lot of you, I don't have bags of money to invest in my equipment, most of it is second hand and isn't top of the range, but I'm happy with the sound quality of it. Look around, do some research and whilst doing so, save those pennies and then upgrade! There is no limit to what you spend, BUT your ears will certainly let you know when you've found your level. Let's face it, when you get older, your hearing isn't the same anyway! Handling and storing your records carefully will provide years of good service and don't believe all the nonsense about cleaning machines, liquids etc. I've never cleaned any of my records and those I bought in the late 70's, early 80's still play just fine. Enjoy your music and welcome to the world of vinyl!

But having a recordplayer, which isnt a suitcase one with built in speakers, you will also need an amplifier and speakers, theres a bunch of videos about what you would need and stuff if you are a complete beginner. 😉

Crosley mid level turntables are stylish, offer a great listening experience that is affordable. Vinyl isn’t as fragile as many think. You want to be careful not to seriously scratch your vinyl & keep it clean. The misconception that entry-level turntables destroy your vinyl due to the increased pressure (tracking force) the needle is putting on the record. There’s more friction on the record, but you’d have to play the album hundreds of times before you’re going to notice any sound degradation if any at all.

Don’t buy any of the suitcase or all in one record players because they will ruin your vinyls the needle scratches them they make the record skip songs because they have no counterweight no antiskate and no height adjustment. If you get an Audio Technica LP60X you won’t have no problems

Darkwolf_ 66 I know a lot about record players. Number 1 the Crosley is extremely cheaply made with the needle that is about as good as a pin. The speakers sound absolutely shit and as they are on the same surface as the record, the bass from the speakers causes the needle to jump which scratches the record.

Yeah crosleys are shit. The cheapest record player you want to buy is a Audio Technica LP60, which is around $120 or so. If you can’t afford the LP60, you really should not get into vinyl until you get a job or something, because if you get a cheap record player, you’ll just end up ruining your new $20 or $30 records

Next step would be the AT-LP60X and you will be fine with that. Crosleys are in the end just toys marketed to teens or people who like them as decorations. You will be amazed how good records do and can sound with a proper setup. So many people get i terested in the record hobby, but many also buy a crosley as their first player and think it's a stupid hobby and that it's a waste of time because it sounds like crap. Sorry for the negative critisism, but i always like new people in to the hobby, but so many lose interest if they buy one of these decorations. My suggestion is to buy a AT-LP60X as your first turntable if you want an automatic one, cheap, built in preamp, bluetooth?, just a good starter turntable.

@@mdluk199 Well i know you're not probably implying i'm on eof those. Because my setup is pretty mediocre. Also suitcase players are more for the rare play of some records that are already in quite bad shape. Also the sound quality is which drive many away from the hobby because their only experience is with those cerial box record players which have very terrible built in speakers. The impedance is already faulty on those, their preamps are the cheapest possible. Ofc there are those who have a couple of records and are fine with a suitcase player and they play it rarely. If you start collecting vinyl it does not mean you have to spend tons of money on it, i mean my first setup was like 200€ish and it sounded fine. I just got more interested to hear other setups and see ehat there is to offer. I recommended AT-LP60X because it's an easy and affordable introduction if you get interested in the hobby and decide to take your sound quality to the next level.

U must stack your records vertical like you see in your record stores not like a weird landscape and stacking them like cds please grab the record by the label and edges not the edge of the Track 1

the issue with crosleys is the tracking force is over double what it should be... also the stylus is sapphire which is softer than diamond and wears quicker. it's good that kids are getting into vinyl. which is only a good thing. but it's the likes of crosley which should just up the quality a bit so that kids don't ruin their records. yes, a crosley over a short period of time will ruin the grooves on a record, essentially making it unplayable.

I'm gonna order a record player online soon. I'm getting an Audio Technica LP60 which is the best record player to get. People say that Crosleys Victrolas and Jensens and all the suitcase and all in one record players are trash because they have poor sound quality and And after a year of having it the needle scratches the records. If you want your records to last longer then buy an Audio Technica LP60 from Barnes And Noble or Amazon

If you love your records, do not buy a crosley, much less play them on it, those turntables only serve as decoration. That "turntable" ruins the records

Yeah it does because of the counterweight it’s too small and records are meant to be placed on a flat surface that’s why the Audio Technica Lp60xbt is the best record player
