I use CrossBorder Pickups as well after previously using Shipito. What I like about CBP is their location in Mississauga eliminates the cost of shipping to home/business.

I've only ever used a warehouse pickup in Niagara, NY but with covid, I haven't been able to use that as an option. But I'm a little confused because on the CBPU site, they have a flat fee depending on the weight of your package but are there also additional charges on top of that? I was under the impression that would only happen if you decided to have them ship your stuff straight to your door. I was planning on making a $35 USD order (which would get me free shipping from that site) and spending an additional $10 CAD to pick up my package sounded like a deal but it looks like they charge you additional fees on top of that. Spending an additional $50 on top of the USD to CAD conversion doesn't seem like it would be worth it for me in my case :( I hope that all made sense! I've been looking around for reviews and I'm still a little wary about being charged since their site makes it sound like you'll only have to pay to pick up your package plus any taxes/duties. So I'm glad I saw your video before making my order!

Oooof I JUST started using this service for EBAY purchases. I have about $130 USD worth of stuff waiting at that Niagara Falls, NY warehouse. I probably paid about 30 USD to get it shipped there, which is a far cry from the 160 USD it would have cost to ship it here. But I don't like the sound of paying twice the amount of the American price, that bill would hurt! Mb I can just drive over the border and pick it up. The U.S. warehouse is only an hour from me. Great video, I was a little confused on the linking and whatnot.

So happy this helped, Mike! I never thought to use the service for eBay, very interesting! It’s good to remember that beyond shipping costs to Canada, you never know if you’ll be smacked at the door with duties. I do believe cross-border will still be your best option but let me know if you decide otherwise! Last I checked I don’t think you can pick up from the warehouse, but as mentioned in the video they are super easy re: customer service so best of luck :-) please like and subscribe if you haven’t already!

What is the order fee ? How is this calculated ? I know the import fee is based on weight, but unsure what the order fee is ? This is a good review, but people should take note it appears you only paid the tax, no duties. If the items are note made in USA or Mexico the items would have not only tax, but duties also (another 13%). Not to mention shipping to you if the pickup location isnt close . It can add up ! I'm trying to do some math now to determine if CBP is a good option for me. For anyone that knows let me know if I'm missing something. I'm in Ontario so I would pay Ontatio tax, then duties (depending on where manufactured), the CBP fee, then the shipping to me (these would also be + sales tax). Anything else I've overlooked ?
