Vanessa this video was really outstanding! Without question you are the most adventurous person I’ve ever known on KZbin. I love the variety you you always bring to us, and I always seem to learn something new with every movie you share with us. A few weeks ago I did a 2 nighter on my bike 🚴 which was mostly off road like yourself. It’s amazing what you can see...2 black bears, several deer, 4 moose. And yes, I took a spill on the bike too! Thanks for sharing all your hard work.. it’s truly appreciated!!! 👍🙏❤️

You know something my dear, when I was your age, I felt the same way, but now at age 65, and having spent 50+ years in the saddle and covered what feels like a half a million miles later, I no longer want to sweat or feel the burn on a long bike ride, and built an e-bike to enjoy the ride pain free. I don't feel the least bit quilts, either. Cheers!

I have ebike and used it to commute to work for many years in city . It was great. The power of ebike is like having 4 or 5 other very strong people peddling for ( or with you) . A lot of energy packed into the lithium battery pack. We are worth like 100 or 200 watts of peddling . The bike motor is putting out 1000 or more watts.
@barrybogart54363 жыл бұрын
She said it was 250W. 1000W is illegal in most countries.
@LarryKapp13 жыл бұрын
@@barrybogart5436 Yeah they say that and put those 250 watt stickers on there but if you put a meter on it you will most likely see the motor consuming a lot more than 250 watts.

Great job. I did the same things on a fat tire ebike, but not a trailer, I used a back rack with 2 rear paniers and sleeping bag on a front rack, you can just about fit it all on, it is easier than a trailer. The great thing about camping on the ebike is you can sweat when you WANT to and take it easy when you NEED to
@barrybogart54363 жыл бұрын
I think using a trailer on back roads is a bad idea, and trailers just encourage you to carry too much stuff.

Nice to see you on bike! I did try ebike. But it so heavy, when battery drained, not so far I was able to go. Luckily it was left only 2 miles on flat paved road. 400 watt battery was rated up to 70 miles and I was going in eco mode, any way it was last only 25 mi. So I decided to stick to my road bike, than trip is not limited to short trips

One thing to keep in mind Vanessa is to take some good camouflage net with your e bike and obviously turn it on it's side. so as low to the ground as it can be, In the UK e bikes with large tyres and even e scooters draw alot of attention which may bring people to your camp rather than not. As you already know, on your own, not being seen is the first best part for your own safety even if you have a big dog. Big lumps of expensive equipment not very well hidden may give you an unwanted problem, as others may look at it even say locked to a tree as a good easy gift to try and get should they wish to take it from a remote forest surroundings stumble on by chance. Stay safe. Arthur (UK)

Great video and presentation of different products offerings, don't know what's out there until someone presents in a useful way. Couple notes, heavy tires are more difficult to stay upright at slow speeds so momentum is critical. As well, this setup although did well off road, is more geared towards somewhat smooth or paved areas as there was lack of shock absorption on both the bike and trailer unlike a mountain bike. Still great non the less, thanks for sharing...Happy Trails, Cheers!
