Hi Jordan, thanks for giving a great analysis. It's easy to undersatnd and very beautiful. Without adding confusion by talking about the Miller theorem, you can just simply take out that 2Cgd during the analysis and add it up after get a express for Zin', then add 2Cgd to the Zin', since the 2Cgd is simply in parallel with an ideal voltage source, 2Cgd won't change anything while analysising the rest two symmetry part.

I second this. There was no unilateral gain from left to right other than -1 by Jordan's depiction. Breaking to two 4Cgd is no different than having the two of them in series and assuming the midpoint a virtual ground due to perfect symmetry. Regardless, Thank you both for making such great intro, it was fun. Keep them comin'!

It would be great to have a video on miller theorem.

Hi Jordan, Very nice analysis. However, I had a doubt about the Miller capacitance value being considered as 4Cgd. How do say it's a multiple of 2 ? Practically, it would be gmro times Cgd, isn't it ?

What is the gain of this circuit ? It’s -1. Gmro is for specific amplifier type. Output is v2/v1. General formula is z/(1-Av) at front and z/(1-(1/Av)) at back side. So use this formula to understand Miller compensation for any circuit

Thanks a lot for the amazing video Sir! I had a small doubt though, while using the miller's theorem didn't you inherently assume the fact that both the parts of the circuit are anti-equivalent and that's why doubled the cap value. It appears a paradox to me wherein we are using the assumption which is based on the result we are expecting to obtain. Please clarify. Thanks a lot once again!

Well you can break the voltage source vi to two. One with +vi/2 to ground (virtual) and the other with -vi/2 to ground (virtual) and the result would be the same. This is same reasoning as half circuits when analysing differential pairs.

kindly check the equivalent diagram for the impedence expression. will the capacitor be in parallel?

Overall speaking, explanations regarding derivation of -R and high freq response looks good! but I would expect these things to be simulated in PSPCE/LTSpice so students could try in simulator from their end to gain confidence.

I agree! I haven’t really looked into teaching a lab-type course over KZbin, do you think it would be valuable?
