I finished all eight episodes of this show, and I love it. I love the fact that Alex Cross is a brilliant, but vulnerable character, who just lost his wife, and has to take care of his children. His friendship with Sampson, who is his boyhood friend, and police partner. I love the pacing of the show, and that it fleshes out the stories of the serial killer, as well, dealing with someone who wants to do harm to him, and his loved ones. I am looking forward to the second season of this show.

I just started watching "Cross" but the blackest show that I've seen on tv is "Black Lighing". From the plot of the federal government experimenting on Black folks to the soundtrack playing in the background. The Soul music from the 70's is great.

My husband and I watched all eight episodes and I can’t begin to tell you how happy I was to see black people showing how intelligent we are. Very exciting, stimulating, provocative, super intense and all encompassing to see mixed racial cast. Alex Cross is strong, intelligent and very, VERY intuitive and culturally intact with who he is and who his people are and how we live, work, think, love, etc. He shows he is so VULNERABLE it made me scream at Alex as if he was standing in front of me! SIMPLY AWESOME! I’m watching it again this weekend!

Aldis Hodge also co-starred in “Underground,” an excellent show that was cancelled too soon. I hate when networks change owners and then good black shows like “Underground” and “Rap Sh!t” are the first to go.

Aldis and his brother, Edwin, are both fine actors. Very different types but each of them have carved out their own lanes. A friend of mine works on this show and he assured me they were going to take Patterson's characters and go more in depth than the novels.

But one thing I love about the show that no other movie has gotten right is they did not leave out Sampson, Nana Mama, Damon and Jannie. I hope it last too because they need to add Ali when the time comes too.
