Cross RC T004 Trailer Part1

An overview of the Cross RC T004 Trailer kit before it gets blown apart for paint.
It seems that the kit has been updated so there is a quick show of the revised bed sides and base when compared against the photographs in the current adverts.

I see you have a trx 4 from traxxas. How well does this fit to it please? Is the size differenc very noticable?

Question Ted, Whats the width of that trailer, from edge to edge of the wheels. The dimensions on the website say 260mm, but for some reason it looks a little less. Thanks buddy

@@tedstinytrucks1380 Perfect, thanks for the quick reply, strange how the dimensions on the site say 260mm. It scared me to be honest because my 6x6 truck i'm building is only 210mm wide. I woulda hated that look where the trailer is wider than the truck. Cheers Ted.......Is the GC4 still mocking you or has it given up lol

@@westernsharpie No problem! I think part of the issue is that people use the same photos and dimensions for both the T004 and T005 trailers. As far as I can tell, if you have wooden plank style sides then its a T005 and 260mm wide, if it looks like pressed aluminium then its a T004 and 215mm wide. Yeah, I'd prefer not to have a trailer wider than the truck to be honest too - I'm way behind on my YT watching, I'll drop into your channel and catch up with what you've got going on 🙂 The GC4 still waves from the pile - although its more resigned than ever 🤣

Pretty sure my T005 doesnt have dampers at all. Old fashion leafs. Bit jealous as its the same width as the MCs unlike my 005. U just need the 8 built now........

I was wondering about the T005, couldn't see dampers on the drawings and a squint around the internet didn't show anything. I'm not sure having them is a good thing, I reckon they limit the travel and swing of the large leaf so it looks like I'll get less articulation than you. Today I discovered that all the mounting holes for the new sides are drilled 2.5mm for M2.5 bolts 🤣 I'm not going to be getting much thread engagement in there! I'll be filling them holes up with plastic rod and drilling out again - hoping the MC8 is better...

@@tedstinytrucks1380 hahaha yes it is better than that mate. these trailers are old school me thinks. Tel's got dampers on his diddy trailer but has done a good job replacing the leafs and dampers with std shocks off Ebay. Our most recent trailer run / river crossing vids show them if you look carefully.
