Oh my gosh, thank you! I've been watching videos about parking & I was just not getting it! I was starting to think I'd just never do it, but then I found this video. This is absolutely the best instruction I've seen yet & I'm saving it to go back to it if I need to when I start. I liked & subscribed! 💜

This explains so much :) I usually do not work on such a big project since I did not know how you keep track of so many colors. Now it all makes a little more sense.

😊😊😊Oooh, thank you) I was worried that I go too long into the details and repeat myself too much, good that you didn't feel that way

With this parking method, is the amount of thread given in the cross stitch kits enough? I'm always afraid of running out of thread. I love your videos, you have a beautiful voice and accent. ❤️

Also, do you still start stitching right at the middle or once you've drawn all your guidelines do you start from a corner?

Thank you for the compliments, especially about the accent (I am quite conscious about it but I am afraid I will never be able to speak without it). Regarding the thread amount - that is a bit tricky thing and depends on the company that made the kit - some of them seem more generous than others. I don't have a good method to determine the amount of thread in the kit and just try to see how it goes. Also I try not to travel very far away so if the next time the certain color appears several 10x10 squares away I will definitely cut it off. I think even if I would be stitching color by color it would still require some more thread as I would not be cutting it after every block of color.

@@KiwiKafxD482 I can start both ways, the main goal is to have the grid marked and checked in advance so I would know I have the whole project covered. I had made a really stupid mistake once when I marked the project placing the fabric vertically while it was a horizontal pattern. Nevertheless it worked at the end as the project still fit fully, there was less space on the sides for framing but the person who framed itanaged this situation perfectly

@@by_aprilegirl Thanks for your answer! I have a Van Gogh's sunflowers kit that I can't wait to start and your videos have cleared all my doubts. Also, totally get you about the accent, but i've learned that as long as you are able to communicate, accents enrich your speaking because they tell a little of your story and the amount of effort taken to learn another language :)

@@KiwiKafxD482 thank you)))) what kit of Sunflowers do you have, may I ask? I want to get one as well but still struggling to choose, there are several from different brands (and there were several pictures of this kind as well). I think I will end up having a whole wall of Van Gogh pictures alone eventually 😅
