Update: I changed the measurements of panel 3 to 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" , to accommodate differences when installing the zippers, after you finished installing both front zipper pockets, measure the height of your front exterior, trim off the bottom part (if any excess) so that your front exterior panel will measure 8" tall

Dawn with the tradition zipper at the top were you able to access the bag contents okay? If you used it for something other than a phone? Also did you keep the D rings on the bag as Yoan did or did you put them at the top like you wound traditionally too? I know it’s been a long time since you made the bag. Sorry!

I have no problem fitting my iPhone in the top with the top zipper. It slips in and out easily. But everyone has a different sized phone, so you may have to measure the width of your phone to see if it will fit. I installed the d rings and the rest of the hardware just as Yoan did in the video. I love this little bag. @Snickers I hope that helps.

Just finished this lovely bag - perfect when walking to pop my phone/money in. I love the written instructions as well, so easy to cut all fabric prior to following along with the tutorial. Just one little thing - in the written pattern it states Back Exterior cut x1 from FWI but the picture shows FF (fusible fleece). Thanks.

Thanks Donna, the long tail zipper is to make the opening a bit wider, since this is such a tiny bag, but you can skip that and do your zipper regularly ;)

Thank you for answering my request for this great bag. Your videos are wonderful. Can I use a shorter zipper on the top one so it doesn’t hang off end?

This is a relatively small bag with multiple zippers. Making the top zipper hang off the bag allows you to be able to open that top pocket wider and allowing you to get your hand into the bag to retrieve what ever is in the bottom. If you enclose the top zipper ends into the seams , you have now created a smaller opening. Since this is the portion of the bag with the longest pocket, you want to be able to get your hand down into the bottom of the bag. I see this method of zipper used in many bags to give you a wide , easily accessible area. I am hoping that I have explained this reason clearly enough for you to visualize what I am saying. The first two zipper pockets are quite shallow and only need a couple of fingers to place and remove objects

@@LittleDotCom If you want the zipper to be shorter, you can do whatever is comfortable for you. With the small opening in the top of this bag, you may still want some of the zipper to come off the side. The length is up to you. I change many things in sewing. There are many ways to do a project and most suggestions not set in stone. Be creative.
