Love my Excalibur and I don't plan on buying anything but a new Excalibur. It's a wide beast but I like the peace of mind of not being slave to a shop. Great video showing the whole spectrum.

Micro Suppressor 355. It’s killed everything I’ve ever hunted with it!! From 50 pound Javelina to 500 plus pound Nilgai Antelope!!!

I have a 335 and it’s sweet. I just can’t get used to shooting 16 inch arrows. I feel like you have to get the arrows into the bread basket or lose a deer. The bow shoots great, but the impact is not there.

First I bought the Tenpoint Nitro 505. Then I bought a Ravin R29X. I am planning to sell my Tenpoint. The position of the safety on the Ravin may be a deal breaker for some, but that nice compact lighter bullpup design of my Ravin is so much more important to me.

I own Excaliburs and The Hickory Creek Verticals. For me, The Hickory Creek is the best hunting bow available today IMHO. Both do allow field Maintenance . I like simple reliability.

I have 2 HC verticals. I agree they are great. I wish he could design a latch that would eliminate the D loop though.

You should look into the Hickory Creek Vertical crossbow. I've hunted with mine since 2016. Awesome.

Great video again. No one should care what you shoot or why you shoot it but it really does piss off vertical archery guys when capable strong people shoot crossbows. But aside from the banter that went on since the middle ages, the only wrong crossbow is one that you cant manage financially or physically and most minus affordability are pretty manageable.

I can pull my compound but at 40 yrs old sports injuries started catching up with me… several minor shoulder tears from baseball/football as a middle and high schooler are really taking it out of me and it’s getting painful to keep pulling that 55 lb compound(already dropped it from 65 to 60 and now 55) I catch hell from my cousins kids because I’m now that crossbow guy… they are all compound guys… I just tell them I can use one but my shoulder makes it unsteady and less likely to make an ethical harvest.

@@ParasitikOne hey it happens i shoot crossbow because i like it i don’t like compounds for many reasons top being i cant fixit in the field for this reason i like trad style weapons but i don’t have the strength or accuracy yet to draw and shoot a properly pounded trad bow, 50 lbs is the legal minimum and that doesn’t sit well with my ethics. So i use the crossbow. Many vertical “archers” give me shit but i don’t care.

@@chrisruzsa2798 my bear compound I can swap strings and cables without a press. I carry a combo Allen wrench in my day pack and a spare set of strings and cables… sure it’s not ideal to have to do but I have the ability if it needs to be done… just my shoulder is trashed and no matter what I do I continue to lose strength because of it. My bear is a backup… that I can use as last resort.

Did you say you don’t need a press to change strings on a recurve XBow?
@roberttaylor8261 Жыл бұрын
The Excalibur has String shorter than the string on limbs when cocked holds limbs cocked about 4-5” shorter than the regular one so can change strings

2 dragging deer out. What do you think about the Bruins crossbows 370 I believe I know a couple other people that had them and they never had one problem with what do you think I am thinking about getting one what do you suggest thank you God bless
@draggindeeroutdoors2 жыл бұрын
At first glance, this appears to be made by a very common Taiwanese suppler: Mankung. Nothing wrong with them, but this seems a bit over-priced for a very basic 370 crossbow. There are better bows out there for $450 (pulled price from the Bruin website). Email me if you want more details/suggestions: draggindeer@gmail.com.

Great vid, enjoyed it as well as the way you presented it. Nicely done! Now, I'm looking for opinions on the Wicked Ridge Fury 410 De-Cock. Dont hold back, let me have the truth and as many pros/cons as you can. To me, its alot of money and want to make a educated buying decision. I already ordered it, but the wait for it to ship has me second guessing my decision. Thanks, I also subbed.

Talking about narrow string angle isn’t a selling point! Cocking has string pinch on cocker roller ropes. The string pinch on nocks is same! I own a Excalibur 405 it’s 24” cocked! All the Crossbows now days have n hand protectors to keep hands down away from string rail.
