I'm playing this game right now and I'm quite frustrated with the aim puzzles at the ice dungeon. The problem with the puzzles are that the game mechanics like aim and jump are bad, they are easy to figure out but annoying to execute.
@7Comic7mischief719 күн бұрын
Fully agree with you. I LOVED this game, but the art style did not mesh with the acurate depth needed for some platforming and aiming. I had to point my orbs at maaaany a platform I was jumping to, to make sure there wasn't an illusion making a tall object seem short, or a far object seem close. One thing they did fucking brilliantly and almost imperceptibly is make the floors in most dungeons give you a template for the angles you needed on really tough ones. Even that last puzzle does it.

I disagree with a combat comment, I think this game scales up and introduces enemies really brilliantly. I love finally "learning" an enemy for two to pop up. It's like the game saying "oh, yeah?" I am sad that the enemies from areas never make another appearance. Maybe it would get "same-y" but after investing time to learn how to counter and decimate a frobbit, I wanted to have to flex that from time to time.

@JayKlz4 жыл бұрын
I was able to play it flawlessly without the sliders until the end. By that point it was more about being annoyed by how unforgiving last few dungons are. With sliders for puzzles and dmg was a breeze. Its very beatable without sliders but didnt really feel like breaking my control on the 15th attempt on something.
@Tabryne4 жыл бұрын
First off: If you don't like platform style jump puzzles don't buy this game. Also while the game DOES have sliders to reduce how much damage you take/how often they attack, and how fast puzzles reset it it will only make the game boring when you realize how the enemy's are nearly all giant damage sponges. Think of this while watching the characters HP bar in this video, noting how fast you die.

First of all, why would you compare it to Celeste? I think both are great games that are very complex and appeal to many types of players. Though, I think it just got unlucky with advertising. I think that was a really bad example. It's got the idea but the two are completely different. CrossCode uses the fact that it's a "game in a game" to add to its charm with dialogue. Basically, it doesn't just use the concept as an idea. Its a completely different world with an actually good story that will make you emotional once you piece it together.

The trick is to exploit the elemental weaknesses of enemies and use the "break" function that stuns enemies and multiplies your damage towards them. For example, in the 2nd dungeon, you face this jellyfish enemy that takes up to a minute to beat just by attacking normally. But, [spoilers] (kinda) By using your basic attack to shoot their attacks back at them, you can break them and kill them in just 4 attacks
