Occasionally a friend, fellow player or special guest will drop by Cross Counter Studios. When you put a few young red-blooded fighting game players in a room together, what else can they do but run a few SETS against each other? So, we'll record it!
This week, Peter "Combofiend" Rosas stopped by, and longtime rival/friend/adversary/enemy Mike Ross had a score to settle! So the two sat down for some Marvel vs. Capcom 3 in what was SUPPOSED to be a first-to-5... watch what happens!

You can still buy the SF4 Tournament Arcade Stick from Amazon, they sell fast and has the same build quality as the MVC3 Stick, it depends what artwork the user wants. I personally like the SF4 Round 2 Tournament Arcade Stick.

@abrannan in my opinion the ONLY real time the 480k combo is greater than the 450k combo is when the 480k combo builds significantly more meter. Other than that it's just a personal preference on which combo you like doing the most. The best combos ending in hypers...pay for their own hypers and then some. I usually build my combos to have the easiest (relatively speaking) execution, build the highest meter, and do the most damage. Balance those 3, and you're golden. :) Kei

But seriously I agree with you, Combofiend wins tournaments with those sets, like how the others win with theirs, mostly cuz they know when to throw out the easy peezy combos that land sure damage, and when to throw out the flashy stuff to eek out that tiny bit of extra damage. but in all fairness I like the shenanigans combofiend does with spencer.

My TE stick is actually a Regular Street Fighter 4 one. Very rarely used because its a PS3 stick and I actually play 90% on 360.

The reason why he uses MHS in the air is to keep the combo going longer for more damage. The way you combo in the air using LLMHS cuts into the hit stun so your combos might be longer but are not as damaging as combofiends. All he is doing is maximizing hit stun and combo damage.

@chadwarden43 It's more a matter of consistency. Yeah, he uses a limited combo set, but it's effective, and it works for him. Given damage scaling, extensive combos may only net you an additional 50,000 damage. With as severe as punishments can be in this game, why not drop the combos early, get the super in, and walk away with a tiny less damage done, but greater control?
