I agree. Besides Jwonggg, I believe the winner here is also Rayray. The depth of knowledge and wisdom for him to explain it at this level is amazing! Attention to detail indeed! I would have loved it if there was more explanation towards how Justin figured out that micropixel space to punish the barrage of attacks. All in all, great video! Thanks for bringing us back to this moment Rayray! *standing ovation*

This is such an amazing breakdown of one of my favorite matches of all time. Being in the crowd that close to the stage was a surreal experience and you brought back so many good memories. You also knocked it out of the park with the breakdown section! I loved Wolverine and Mags watching a screen, the breakdown of common fighting game terms, and how deep you were able to dive into both teams. Easily one of the best Marvel 3 videos I have ever seen.

Only 3 minutes in and I am already blown away by this video. I'm genuinely speechless. This format of in-depth explanation and editing needs to become more popular. As someone that has never played a second of Marvel, you made everything feel so instantly understandable; I think this is just the format the FGC needs to get newcomers in. You earned my sub, please keep up the amazing work!

The marvel 3 and SF4 era of fighting games just feel like home. There were SO MANY names, so many teams, so many personalities. It just isn't the same anymore, be it the games themselves and the players.
@ildaphonse2 жыл бұрын
I agree heavily sadly. I loved the 3rd strike era. And i was dissapointed at first with sf4 art style. But it was a great game. Focus attack was amazing, and we had some great matches / personality. Cross counter was at it's heyday. Marvel 3 somehow turned out to be amazing and a worthy sequel that i had so much fun with. Fchamp had his fgtv house and it hosted some great matches. Truely things wont be the same :(. Maybe with SF6 things will change, and it has a decent system. I just wish they had air parry. Marvel 4 would be great but i don't think we're getting it.

This was a landmark moment for the game. For the longest time, people had been waiting for Justin to finally take an Evo at UMvC3 after dominating at MvC2 for so long. I remember, in the lead up to this, Offcasts had been talking to us that this was Justin's year and I remember agreeing-even in the face of an FChamp who was looking to be the first 2-time champ and ChrisG who had started his run of dominance. But for some reason, we all thought that it was Justin's time and that he deserved to regain his place at the top of Marvel.

12:47 This was when two realities were created. The one we experienced, and the other one where Ryan spent 1 bar to kill Storm. Not sure why he didn't ensure the kill here as he was up 3 characters to Justin's 2 (if he had killed Storm) and the likelihood of building up another bar for Dark Phoenix was still very high. Justin did his own commentary on this match and he called this moment Ryan's huge mistake.

It's also fun to know that Storm was considered "Magneto minus everything" by the overall MVC3 community since she lacks the combo potential but had similar movement ability. With that being said, witnessing a Storm going up against a Magneto and not only seeing her hold her own but actually WINNING was poetic and an amazing thing to witness.
