I made my replacement slats out of scrap 316 stainless steel. No more rust. Like the drain idea

White vinegar does a great job cleaning the rust and hard surface on parts cut from steel sheets. I toss all my cut parts in a plastic tub filled with and 3 hours later all the the hard black surface is gone.

Thanks for the idea on the drain. Just started setting up mine and was looking to do the same thing.

Really appreciate the trailblazing on the XR. Do you have any plan to filter the water/Sterling before it hits the tank? I'm waiting for a part from Langmuir to get my XR running. Should be here Saturday. All assembled - had a ball nut hub/mount that was not concentric causing a bunch of vibration.

Im about to make a video on keeping fluid clean. It is just version one quick and simple that everyone can do fir cheap. Video should be up by tomorrow morning.
