Competitors should have a plan for their grub during competitions, Matt Chan says at this CrossFit Competitor's Course held at CrossFit Park City.
In Part 5, Chan digs into supplements.
"Start with the simple stuff," advises the Level 1 Seminar Staff member who finished second at this year's CrossFit Games.
He recommends EPA/DHA fish oil, vitamin C, vitamin D and creatine.
Chan also re-emphasizes the importance of competitive CrossFitters establishing a Zone Diet baseline prescription.
"I know I don't need to worry about my nutrition," he says. "I can operate at a very high level with that training prescription that I've established."

How have more people not watched this and shared this information?! I have started doing this for better life and training and it is amazing! It is all about trial and error and being a chemist I love the science behind all of this!

Instead of taking carbs and protein after a workout, can you replace it with basic table sugar to speed up the insulin spike?

7g protein 9 g carbs 1.5 g fat approximately

add that to your basal calories intake. For example, 3000 basal + 2275

I've been thinking this same thing every time I watch this video. Are we missing something because I just don't see how that makes any sense.

how would one attempt to work blocks in with, say, a 93# freshman boy? He is a track athlete and our workouts are quite intense, but what is the suggested block structuring for that kind of scenario?

25 blocks is like 2275 kcal, for a 210 pound man that does 4 wod!? That's way too little, doesn't everybody agree ???
