Great answers Travis I like the fact that you were open and honest about feeling that Noah was there to take your place and that the comments from the Mat Josh and Sevan podcast fuelled your fire...Quietly Confident is how I would describe your attitude which is a nice change... Good luck

Honestly, when I watched Travis getting cut in the 2019 games, I thought he just didn't want it bad enough to put up with the fight. One of the best athletes out there in my humble opinion. Hoping to see you succeed this year Travis! Good luck!!!

I like the bit about TTT athlete solidarity. For a future podcast, I'd really like to hear the coaches talking about the connection between their own mental attitude and the way they coach their athletes' mental attitude. Compared to some other high-profile coaches, Max and TTT in general seem to be quite humble and self-deprecating, and I'd like to know how that works in terms of being a leader/authority figure, while also encouraging the right balance of confidence/aggression vs teachability and self-awareness among the athletes.

Not hate at all, but pretty impressed with Travis winning the quarterfinals. I thought that his best year was when he came up short and was part of the Demo team. Now he shows that he can be on the podium or top 5 of the games, although I still think in-person competition is a whole different game, and guys like Vellner, Noah, Fikowski, BKG have proved to be awesome competitors. Without Mat is all for grabs and I don't know who is going to take it, but very happy with Travis making sure that his name is on the conversation. I guy owner of a gym, 4 kids, years in the sport, putting the work is a very good example to follow. Greetings from Venezuela, always following Training Think Tank method, was pretty anxious about what Sara could have done with you guys, guess we will have to wait one more year. I think Sara's story will be pretty similar to Travis, don't count them out.

In my opinion, which doesn’t matter, just do the damn competitions and stop bitchn about what could be better and what wasn’t perfect. Welcome to life, nothing is ideal. The same people always win no matter what is out there. If that’s not you and you want it to be....get better. (This isn’t toward anyone, it’s toward everyone). Also Travis gained a fan here just simply with his attitude toward the Games.

My favorite part is when you were discussing getting rid of the Open as it is and then letting anyone sign up for the quarter finals. I disagree with that idea. The open in its current form allows all of us average crossfitters to see where we stand compared to anyone else in the world. If you take that requirement out, then why would any elite athlete compete in the open? I love seeing how I compare even to the elite athletes. Then you mentioned adding a scaled category to the quarterfinals. Why would you do that? The quarterfinals are there to determine the highest level athletes that can move on to the next level. Adding a scaled component to that wouldn't test that capacity. So, when your saying to get rid of the open, but adding scaled to the quarterfinals you're ultimately making the quarterfinals back into the open. To me, the road to the games starts at the quarterfinals so it should be hard and for above average athletes.

Did I understand that, correct? Did Travis do workout #3 twice with just a 10 minute break in between attempts? That didn't really happen did it? I've watched 5 more mintues of the video and I'm still sitting here with my jaw on my desk in shock.
