Ken no there’s not lol. Even if there was, how does more movement negate the fact that it would reduce fatigue on the shoulders? When he catches the weight on his back it is distributed across much larger muscles that wouldn’t struggle to absorb such a light weight, whereas the delts and triceps are working significantly harder to lower the same workload on their own. That’s pretty significant when you’re going for 3 heavy singles on the shoulder press.

Could be that he's not keeping his left arm straight since that's the one he's using for his underhand grip. Its the same reason underhand has a higher chance of bicep injury.
@THExJMC3 жыл бұрын
@@callumjones2916 People also tend to not realize that for deadlift your underhand needs to be placed actually about an inch outside of where your overhand is placed in relation to the bar. I know I deadlifted a few years with alternating grip and did not know this until I started helicoptering all the time. Basically if you stand up with both your arms down in a double overhand position, then twist one to an underhand position without moving your elbow or shoulder position, you will notice that your hand ends up further away from your body. So to grab both the under and over hands at the same positions on the bar means that you are actually deadlifting with one of your arms more closely tucked to your body than the other and hence you will get unbalances and often a helicoptering motion.

@@Rico24337 that's exactly what I just said. Go look up videos of powerlifting meets. Then go look up videos of Olympic lifter's squatting. 99.9% of the time, Olympic lifter's squat high bar, close stance, ATG, with a very upright torsoe. Powerlifters rarely ever squat like this, because it's not required for competition.

Shes at the top of her class with this weight while men are strictpressing 205...and they say theres no difference. It would be a shame if we let men destroy all the work powerful women like her have put in.
