We (3 of us) did all this in 67 stock Bronco pickup in 1970. No video or fancy rigs. Just camping out of the back. One hill we were on in the Panamints, Pinto Peak, was covered in a sea of ladybugs. Ah high schoolers. Pretty fearless. We used Mitchell's Death Valley Jeep trails. (1969)

The police officer in this video reminded me that I needed to tell you, your channel got me through the lockdowns and I still watch every video. I have been building my overland rig for about 3 yrs. now. I haven't driven it yet. Your videos give me inspiration to keep on building. Thanks man, keep it going as long as you can. #Notwheelingyet

I love your adventures. I watch videos when I want to relax. Camp meal suggestion. Take 5 gallon bucket and peel ruset potatoes until full. Put through potatoe fry press. Fill 5 gal bucket with sugar water. (Sweet to taste) add lemon juice to keep fries from browning. Soak 24 hrs. Time can include trip. Don't forget 5 gallon lid Lol. Deep fry in peanut oil, not vegetable oil. Enjoy knowing the secret to McDonald's French fries all night long. Just give me a shout out for giving up secret! Don't forget salt.😂Pat fries dry before frying with paper towel and after frying. Oil and water don't mix. The rest should be self explanatory. Save discarded oil to 5 gal bucket and reuse later.

Awesome trip. I need to get back to DV. So much to see in a park with the land mass of Massachusetts. I spent almost two weeks there a couple years ago. Did a lot of the trails you did. Some camps were 2 or more days to get a good taste of things. If I had seen this video first, I'd have been nervous on my rig of choice thinking it was too big. But I squeeked through what was unknown to me just fine, in a Ram 2500 with a 700 pound camper. The run over the pass, past those historic cabins to "Charlies House" was sweet (I traveled the opposite direction you did). I even stayed a night in one, following the flag hoisting protocol. Thanks for not showing all the sweet treats I know you stopped at. Some good discovery for all. I will be going back I think this year. I'll be packing a screw gun, screws, tape, some single pane glass.....home repair tid bits, etc.....and do my part for cabin(s) upkeep along the ways. Though I may go back in my JKU.......yet to be determined. Travel Safe !

You really should have got yourselves up to Cerro Gordo whilst you were there - amazing place and Brett would have been pleased to see you, he has multiple mines including one that is rumoured to go down over 1200 feet mining galena (Silver/lead ore), and many other minerals and precious metals - he is busy restoring the ghost town so visitors can rock up - his road gets washed out once or twice a year so 4x4 is a must ;)
