Honestly its fascinating how straight line missions have introduced the idea of fallen trees as a dangerous thing. Before Geowizard started this, the danger didn't exist in the collective lexicon of hazards for adventurers afaik. Because you could just go around.. I love both straight line missions but watching both back to back makes me realize why the GeoWizard videos appeal to me more. GeoWizard's videos feel like he's taking you along with him on his journey with his narration, consistent check-ins with the camera, and music montages of traversing the land which give it that comfy and cozy feel to it. Archie and Adam feel more like they're showing you their adventure rather than taking the viewer along with them, which is fun, but less memorable overall.

Coming from someone who is following both GW and the Fieldhouses lines on a map, there is something that no one else seems to have noticed: The Fieldhouses line on this day went through only about 5% of the elevation gain and only about 5% of the forested area compared to GWs line. I expect this was done on purpose to reduce risk further along the route in all the farms on the last day. Props to Jarv for finding this route though, it may be even better than the Wizards. The field mice had better planning (kudos!) for a safer and easier route, yet engage in far more risky behaviors in good terrain so I'm glad they didn't go into the storm damaged sections too much. Tom had only basic planning (I'm sure he beats himself up over it 'til this day) and wanting to finish had to get into extremely high risk areas a lot.

17:44 Its easy to be confident in your invicibility when you don't have a family to take care of. Take it easy there young lads. Safety should always matter. One slip and you are easily gone that high.

Yeah just a few minutes earlier they said something like "Now this is dangerous, and we have to try and be safe, but platinum is our #1 priority". And don't get me wrong I'm not too old to remember what it was like being 22 and invincible, but still hopefully these fellas learn to pump the brakes a bit and put their bodies first.

Typical young, unburdened men. More strength and stamina than they know what to do with, and one brain cell between them. Funny to watch, but in ten years them boys are gonna look back at these videos going 'we're glad we did it, but we were high on that moron juice for sure.'

6:08 Not all railway lines are live in the sense of electricity passing through them, infact electricity never passes through the two running lines, it only ever travels through a 3rd rail which is located at the side of one of the running rails. If a line does not have a 3rd rail then there’s no danger of stepping in the tracks

Extremely stupid to be poking around with the shell casings etc. on the Otterburn Ranges. Even more so to film and publish it. Things like this will jeopardise access rights for others in the future.
