Just want to acknowledge Rani Arbo for writing the melody we're hearing here. I didn't see her name anywhere. I love this rendering of it - thank you!

This "song" is actually a poem written by Alfred Lord Tennyson!

I have listened many times to this and saved it to listen on repeat .I have also shared it with a good response. This is uplifting.

I love it! I know I said this when I have commented on this song in other posts. For years I have heard this poem read at funerals and in funeral bulletins. But I had never heard it sung! I understand according to a preacher in West Virginia in an article he wrote it was in song form. But I never heard it! But two years ago I decided to do a Google search. I wanted to see if it had been put in song form. And I fell in love with it! It instantly became favorite song overnight! I love this song. Understand I am a widower and in fact twice. I have two beautiful wives Cindy and Sharon who have seen their Pilot face to face when they crossed the bar! I hope to be able to put this song of me singing it on my You Tube channel. I just want someone to play the music for me! One more thing. I later on went to sleep that night after finding this song on KZbin. I had a dream that I still long to come true. I dreamed that I tried out and was voted in my next church. Something I am hoping for!

How love these two. I discovered you folks last year when I found 'Prairie Home Companion' for 2 quid in a charity shop. You're both filled with such joy. Wonder if you'll come to England.
