My 1st QC Sound was in '75 Marine Atlas was the order of the day, left Gods Pocket at dawn flat & smooth, much different story at Storm & Egg Island lights, solid fog 'til the entrance of Rivers. Scary times for a 1st time boater

so glad I watched this episode , my Dad and his brothers lived on Hope island as young children for a few years as my grandparents were stationed there my grandfather was a wireless radio operator there in the 1930s, hopefully one day I can visit there myself , ps love your videos !

We were near you when you were heading South on Queen Charlotte. I follow you on Utube so I recognized Skookum 1. Your AIS was blinking in and out until we finally lost you. Other boats in the area were fine. Were you having an issue with your AIS? It is hard to know when your own AIS is not broadcasting properly. Smooth waters. Tim and Jill on MV Dream Weaver.our boat

Brings back memories seeing what is left of Butedale ,as a kid my dad would run us down to Butedale on sundays so we could buy ice cream and candy , on your way back if you run into Stan could you say hi for me , haven’t seen him in 40 years , he would work for my dad in the the off season from fisheries his boat at that time was the Nellie Point

Wow what good memories. Butedale is now being cleaned up slowly. Old buildings demolished. I’m not sure what the new owner has planned. We always hear rumours of a marina. But not too sure. It’s sure a neat place to go. The energy there is amazing

Just an FYI. Saturna Island (Winter Cove) has thier annual Lamb roast Canada day. Lots of anchorage and dingy access. Very popular.

Hi Guys regarding Ranger and his pee, a green artificial turf mat should do the trick and can be hosed down later. Add a few small rocks to it to make it more real for him Love your vlog and take care.

The US has some regulations going into effect August 1st regarding dogs coming across the boarder for both Canada and Mexico. If you arrive in Anacortes we would love to meet up. Cheers

Yeah a lot of sailing and motor boaters have pets, dogs, cats. Even birds. Sea sickness and motion is a part of the ocean life. And I’m sure all boaters have to go through it. Sorry you couldn’t finish it but Ranger is happy and fine and having fun!
