Here's a little superzoom shot I just put together for the Jumperless #HackadayPrize video showing how crosspoint switches work. This will be part of a video with words and stuff, but it's kind of interesting by itself.

Would this data be accessible through software?

Yep, you can toggle debug flags for each part of the code. For the routing stuff, it outputs a nicely formatted table with every chip and where each of the inputs and outputs are connected and what's available. I guess it's up to the software you're using to do something with that information, but yeah, I try to keep the state of the board in public classes so everything can be seen if the user wants.

Thanks! I mostly did it for my own debugging, but now I'm wondering if I should do an abstracted model of the board as one huge crosspoint switch to give people a more intuitive way to look at the connections.
