So sad. Hard to imagine how many men have to face this situation on a daily basis and for so many years in their lives. As a former counselor, I cannot tell you how many of this cases actually still happen nowadays.

How many thousands of years has this gone on. And it will never end because everyone wants love and searches for it - and are attracted to whomever they are attracted to - then to find out the person one is attracted has a different sexuality makes people hurt = then angry -= then judgemental. I feel so sorry for women who marry gay men because they have achieved one of the greatest goal of humans - to find somebody to love - and be loved back. And slowly they find in the end that the person is incapable of truly satisfying them.

The focus is the grief of losing someone you care about. No matter what his sexual preference is, he experienced loss of someone he loved. Lets not get caught up on sexuality. That is not the overarching thing. In our lives when we lose people we vibe with, that transcends any labels. Anyone can relate to such tragedies.

It’s about the guy having feelings towards he’s friend in a sexual way and I think he’s life would of been better with him and they both knew there was feelings between each other! But as soon as he died! He couldn’t express how he really felt! And feels a deep loss! Of what could have been!! 😢

I was too afraid to admit how I felt about my best friend, especially when he died. I spent years pursing men, confusing how I felt about him with sexual desire. It took an act of God, through a near death experience to realize who I truly was, and what I lost the day he died. I am much better now, remaining celibate, knowing that he is waiting for me when I leave this world and go Home.

A tough, complicated but important subject - the issue of shame, self-loathing v self-acceptance, and how they play out in males with either loving or violent outcomes. But I’m not sure the non-dialogue screenplay, the ambient piano soundtrack and the fantasied v actual memory ending worked.

@@MrMigueldelaO I had a different take away: I thought the dark haired bearded guy was the driver of the car that hit & killed his friend/love interest. The 'hero' initially sought violent revenge for his loss and imagined assaulting the driver in his home, but instead was, I believe, overcome with grief for the loss of love that his sexual confusion prevented him from fulfilling.

A good film and focused on identity. The setting, suggest insurmountable currcumstance and an inability for this guy to deal with emotion, feeling toward his same sex. I had to watch twice to understand the story. Type of self destruct. The clip in the bathroom, express humiliation and suggest an inner crisses. Very clever the film maker put together all the events to make this work. The guy in the road (bloody) is the same guy he played snooker/pool. There seems to be a more serious ploy. Very complex

Well, not really. We don't really know the struggling of being afraid to being gay, it's more the struggling of loosing someone you love before anything could happen because you are afraid. But in couple or not the pooler guy would have died the same, and he could be a girl too. I don't see the shave as an express humiliation (wtf?) I just thought it was for make him looks more dangerous and assimilated his revenge to neonazi crime instead of "gay struggled revenge" crime.

When the stigma associated with being different, lessens, particularly for men, with this ideal of the masculine man, then men might just find it easier to accept who they are and be prepared to ditch the stereotype. But film makers continue to be obsessed with the idea of the tragic man who cannot accept he is gay or bisexual? It’s a recurring theme. It actually doesn’t do justice to the notion of the challenged man. There are also stories to be told of men reconciling their sexuality and finding joy happiness and release in that fact.

Been there... it's a horrible feeling, I almost didn't survive...The guilty seems to eat you alive, it hurts deeply inside the soul... It divides you... One day I left them... my daughter and wife...I love them but I left the both them... I left a note. I run away as far as I could go. But I survived. I chose life. If I stayed I am pretty sure I'd have died. I'm OK now it's been so many years... decades. I have a relationship with my daughter, she understands me now... Sometimes it felt like a curse... My daughter went through the same...with the difference that this time... I was there for her. She didn't have run away or go through it alone. I am a happy grandfather now.

Brittney was/is struggling with demons both eternally and externally, Hollywood is rife with satanic rituals and Brittney is one of them, she might not even know it, but you do not get in high places in Hollywood without selling your soul to this satanic culture., you think the arrest of Harvey Weinstein is a coincidence? do you think maybe Weinstein is or was being used as a sacrificial lamb? what about Jeffery Epstein and his sick demented satanic stuff, him and Weinstein are connected at the hips. Wait until the rest of it is espoused and it will be, it's happening now and Hollywood is dead, it will never return to its glory days it started out to be, there are many good people in Hollywood who are great artist who often get destroyed because they don't understand that their way over the head, yeah, this is all being brought out to the surface and its going to freak out a lot of people when it is. wait for it, trust me, it gets really, really bad, you have not seen anything yet so prepare yourselves now. it's going to get ugly, If you think I'm some how full of shit, then just wait and be aware, its all coming like a fright train and their isn't any stopping it. BTW, did you watch the half time show at last Sundays Football game??? go back and watch, what do you see??? think logically. it's all connected. some sick ass shit is what it is.

Interesting concept, but the story is very unclear. You sense that they guy is struggling with his sexual identity, but mostly because that's stated in the title. What he going to murder the black guy because he had had sex with him? Did the black guy see him kiss the dying friend on the street so that's why he wanted bash him with the baseball bat? How did the guy on the street get injured. Too many questions.

You make a good point. The problem with so many modern films is that they are trying to be less obvious by making people think. The thing is, they should make people think by posing existential, or philosophical questions, not by leaving so many plot-holes that you have no idea what actually happened!!! It's just lazy creativity.

The story is actually pretty clear: Guy is in a hetero relationship. Meets a guy who causes him to question his sexuality and he falls for him, but isn't able to express it yet. This conflict causes the protagonist to detach from his girlfriend (hence his vacant looks when she's yelling at him and the actress did a fantastic job of mouthing "LOOK AT ME!"). While he's still sorting all this out, the black guy is a negligent driver who hits and kills the male love interest. The death causes the protagonist so much grief because he never told the person how he felt or finished processing his sexuality.

Didn’t go where I was expecting it to go. I thought it was the tired “Man-Has-Gay-Encounter-And-Now-Wrestles-With-Sexuality” instead it’s (spoilers) . . . . . . . it’s about his anger at losing someone (probably mixed with regret at lost opportunities) and whether he should take out that anger on the person responsible The film also plays on our expectations and assumptions thinking that the tortured young man has only one reason for his anger and grief Well-played

Funny how they always choose mighty attractive men who struggle ! I think the real struggle is for people who don't even need to struggle with their sexual identity because even accepting it won't make it any easier . I know countless men who feel completely isolated in the gay "community" and though they accept their sexuality, the "community" doesn't accept them, just because they do not fit the mold . The mold being , being attractive, wealthy, popular, healthy, masculine (though with the drag queen phenomenon now things are changing, but it won't last) . I even know many who went back to women because they were rejected by the so called gay community and felt that life was even harder for them trying to belong .

@@avatarlhamo3063 There are a lot of gay men who after years and years of rejection by the gay community . decide to settle with a woman, often women who are just as much rejected in the straight community or sometimes lesbians , and the numbers are increasing due to this day and age obsession with appearance and social status . So maybe sex is not on the menu of these couples, but partnership and true friendship is . I have a few couple friends like this, and they are usually remarkable people and often terrific parents, as many of them decide to adopt kids or have them via medical support . I also know the type of mighty attractive gay couples and those are the very definition of what i do not want to be associated with . Their idea of a relationship is Kim K and Kanye and is all about the way they are perceived , which is so shallow i don't even want to be around them . I am happily married to another man myself, we have been married for nearly 10 years and together for 20 . We have 5 kids most of them being already adults and i am glad i do not base anything on appearance . My husband is tremendously good looking by objective standards , but i married him because he is a veterinarian like me , because he dedicates his life to helping animals and rescuing them, because he speaks 7 languages and comes from a family of traditional artists , his mother is actually the one who introduced us as she was a friend of mine for years when i lived in Japan and he was still on animalitarian missions around the world. This video is so phony for me , because of the use of attractive men struggling. I find it actually laughable . So exactly what is the BS you are referring to ?

@morganolfursson2560

@@lape Well, attractive people have it A LOT easier than unattractive ones . The only difference is maybe health issues, but good looking people also tend to have stronger genes and healthier metabolism too, which is part of what makes them attractive not only in the eye but also the subconscious brain of the beholder . So, yes , good looking people have a far easier life . I was a model in the late 80s and especially the 90s , while modeling i did other jobs, and i was never rejected after the interview . I was also never rejected in bars, clubs, my romantic and sex life was extremely easy , i was always surrounded with people and money was extremely easy to make or have access to . I could actually write a thesis on how easy my life was just because of some genetic coincidence . I never struggled in my life, never had to really fight for anything, never suffered from discrimination, even as a gay man . I went to school, studied hard and started working, that's the only struggle i ever faced and that's not even a real struggle . Even in third world nations , (and i have lived or worked in many) attractive people have it easier than unattractive ones given the same circumstances . Be honest with yourself a second . If you could choose for your kids or yourself to be either extremely attractive (and i mean supermodel material( or relatively smart , in this day and age , what would you choose ? I'm a veterinarian and ethologist , and with three PhD , i believe not to be the dumbest or most uneducated person out there but i made more money at 22 as a model than i made as a vet and ethologist combined later on . And it required zero skill and zero effort to go to photo shoots and walk on runways . I have 5 kids today and i am glad they are all good looking, because i know it is going to make their life a lot easier . So from their early age i could solely focus on making sure they get smart too, instead of also trying to build up their self esteem in order to prepare them for a very unforgiving, discriminatory and particularly cruel world toward people deemed unattractive. The world is getting more and more shallow and Kim K has a net worth of 350 million dollars. A doctor working full time, saving life on a daily basis, will never make that amount of money in his life . But a plastic surgeon , might . A heart transplant costs less than a facial and dental plastic surgery . There are two things which rule the world today for the commoners, beauty and money , three things if you add , fame to the list. The list usually goes "Money, Beauty, Love, Fame, Health", Intelligence is not even in the top 5 of what people want for themselves or their kids or what is required to have a happy and easy life. Meaning that people do not even believe in using their brain and hard work anymore, they just want beauty and instant fame bringing instant cash . So if you are not attractive even a good brain , might not save you , because at the interview, chances are they will hire the blond bombshell or the Adonis or Apollo . I was lucky to be given one of the three from birth ( i am not bragging i never expected to use it , i was scouted on the street, and saw it as an opportunity to put myself through med school without depending on my parents or working as a waiter), and used it to easily earn money. I was never interested in fame , as i believe anonymity is a sine-qua-none condition to happiness . Today, i couldn't care less about my looks , because i am almost 45, well established professionally, happily married and surrounded by smart friends and co-workers, but i am not naive and i know that good looks helped me getting established, it helped me meeting my partner , and it opened many MANY doors that hard work alone wouldn't have made it possible to open .

You are right Morgan, it would actually make a very good film too about what you just described. Its sad how shallow people in general are. Im pretty lucky to at least be average looking and im glad my daughter is such a beautiful girl because looks really matter, even if i wish it didnt to this extent. Makes me sad thinking about all the people that barely want to go outside because they are so concious about how people look at them etc.
