On May 14, 2022, a white gunman killed 10 people and wounded 3 in a racially-motivated shooting at a Buffalo, NY supermarket located in a predominantly Black neighborhood. WORLD Channel recognizes the victims and the loss by their families, and acknowledges the violence fueled by the racist hate and extremism that persists in the American narrative and continues to impact communities of color in America. ‘Crossroads' follows the aftermath of the 2021 FedEx mass shooting in Indianapolis where eight people were killed, including four Sikh Americans, was scheduled into our programming in advance of the recent tragedy. The film examines the ensuing federal investigation and explores the Sikh community’s response. ‘Crossroads’ is one of many films in a series of resilience and hope, sharing how a community comes together following a horrific loss, and represents strength in the face of senseless violence. This film merits broader awareness, and acknowledgement of the shooters intent by the authorities. Failure to do so by the authorities results in repetition of such heinous acts. You can draw a direct line from this event in Indianapolis to the shootings at Star market in Buffalo on May 14.

Thank you for this important and timely video. Unfortunately, this investigation illustrates that these terrorist acts will continue to happen until they are rightfully identified as acts of racism and prosecuted accordingly. Prayers for all families affected by these atrocities.
