Great video. I'm a volunteer for a small non-profit and we are looking to add security cameras with a Dream Machine Pro. I noticed you had 22 cameras, and the Unifi planner says the Pro only supports 20. Any thoughts on how many more you can add? Is it a function of turning down resolution and frame rates to stretch the recommended limit?

After spending time trying to figure out why Smart Detect could not be turned on from the local admin account, I came across a blog comment indicating it must be done from the owner account. All in all, very much liking the Unifi world, and thank you for making this video series.

Hi Chris - do you recommend just having the cameras in your main LAN like you do in the video or would be make more sense to put them into the IoT VLAN or perhaps their own 'ipcam' VLAN?

Chris, could you make an in-depth updated video about the UniFi protect mobile app. Not about setting anything up. But the day to day interactions. Like time delay after someone hits the door bell, how fast you can open the app and see video after a motion alert. Scrubbing through video. On both local and remote networks. I’m interesting in this system. I just want to make sure the app is user friendly and quick for my wife. Thank you. Love your videos.

Chris, if Protect is running on a UDM-Pro with the single HDD and the U-NVR is added later on, will it just work like a single 5 HDD NVR array? Are there any setup things to be aware of?

Ho Chris, I am new to the whole Ubiquity system. If I buy the Dream Machine Pro without any of the hard drive, can I later add the hard drive and use the Camera feature and buy the Ubiquity cameras later? Thanks 🙏

Chris, Do you have any video on camera proxy? Would this allow you to use 3rd party cameras with UDM-SE? I'd love to see a video on this.

Hi - I have a small business and I just got a unifi network setup. Do you have any suggestions how to find an installer for UniFi's cameras and door locks? I looked on their site for authorized installers or distributors, but no luck. Thanks! Luke, Birmingham, AL

Hi, thanks you for video! Is it possible to connect DAHUA Camera to UDM PRO and save the video on the UDM PRO ?

How many video's are you planning to do in this series? I currently have a UDMP and thanks to your IOT video I'll be setting some vlans up this week while I'm off.

Camera shows a box around Chris. Chris: "See. That is the smart person detection." Yes... yes it is. 😂

Looks like your cameras detects motion through a window, is this correct. I thought that was not possible, at least at night, because of the IR reflecting in the glass.

Hi, the G3 Dome also works with the UDM-PRO? Thank you

Hi absolutely love the UDM setup guide! Thanks for making them. Could you maybe share in another video a custom solution for making cloud backup of your surveillance pictures and video? In you know about any method. Thanks again

Any way to add a custom logo versus the Unifi logo?

If you're not actively trying to sell Unifi - is there a reason someone would leave the Unifi logo turned on, in the video footage, when it's possible to turn it off? Just seems strange is all.

The unifi page says the UDM PRO can record 7 high bandwidth cameras, but that includes the g4 pro, so if it can handle 7 g4 pro, How many G4 bullet can a UDM PRO handle without bottlenecking the router and switch? Because it also says "Assumes the Dream Machine Pro is dedicated to UniFi Protect - if you’re also using UniFi Network, your maximum camera limit will be lower." Maybe do a video to find the camera limit of the UDM PRO?

He touched on this subject in an earlier video. Basically he said there are so many possibilities on different setups that he could not possibly cover them all.

Is there a way to convert my existing analog cameras into IP and / or does Protect allow non Unifi cameras to be adopted?
@d_must43093 жыл бұрын
no and no. You either stick with your current hardware, or scrap everything and move to Unifi. Bare in mind that you will need new wiring for your IP cameras
