This song was created by my late Uncle Perry Pretty Paint from the Crow Reservation. They came to him and asked him to create a Crow Flag Song. He prayed about it and he is truly a composer and a great singer. He made this song and it is sung all over Indian Country. Him and his brother the late Warren Bear Cloud whose Crow Name is "Sings all over the world" he truly lived up to his name.. When you say "I don't know who created this song" it is now false because you know now. Lots of pow wow announcers neglect to mention my Late Uncles name Mr. Perry Pretty Paint. He is the greatest composer and singer.

Would you mind sharing the words and translation for me please? I've heard this song only a few times before and would like to learn it if you don't mind.

The Crow singer, Collin Deputy, died October 2012. He lives on in his music and his children. He was greatly loved and respected by all who knew him, most of all by me, his wife. My heart will be his for all eternity.

Father bless our old land , and the land we've been left with . And bless all of our new nation upon which we tread . The land is never really ours or anyone's ; we are now in this together . Father and your Holy son , of which we can't compare , send forth you Holy ghostly Robe to shield us from this plague , and let us continue to multiply , and have what we need ; and let's us wear our old skins that are aged and in disrepair , like the sackloth of the prophets , and mourn the violence and hatred that's has in our carnal minds ; and forgive one another as You have said .
