But it does in a sense. I think xbox were trying to cynically replicate the success of the Wii in that it was accessible to absolutely everyone (eg. Every member in a family can play bowling on the Wii as opposed to using a controller to play a traditional video game). I'm not saying the Kinect was a good a idea, but that to absolute casuals (like someones grandma) the controller is a barrier because they don't know how to use one.

i know how bad the kinect looked when they showed it in 2009 but belive me how much fun i had while playing kinect sports with my family as a kid.... Those are memories i will never forget.
