I have the retail Wonderland’s war with the deluxe chips and everything fits in the base box. Just take the plastic chip insert out of the chip box and put it into the bottom of the game box. Recycle the chip box.

1.) Wonderland's War is my favorite game. Madcala looks... fine. I just have too many 2 player dueling games. 2.) The Maniac looks VERY fun, but I already have + love both Betrayal and Terrorscape. There's just no room for something that's kind of a mish mash of those 2. 3.) I went from thinking Rumble Planet looked half-baked... to somewhat nervously backing one of the pricier pledges. It's a simple game (which is good!), but I fear it might be TOO simple. I just can't resist the idea of a battle royal game. Reload was a swing a slight miss. Adrenaline is really good but needs a little more chaos. Fingers crossed on this one.

I think you've got to really be into the Mancala idea to warrant it. For me, I think I'll stick with Dice Throne. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you as well for Rumble Planet! I do like the idea that since the weapons aren't able to be used forever that encourages grabbing more fun weapons throughout so hopefully that will translate into fun chaos

@RoomandBoardReviews I have every single Dice Throne character, so I'm with ya. And yeah, with RP, the turns are snappy as anything and even though the combat cards are weirdly deterministic, the dice rolls plus the sheer volume of weapons and armor kicking around SHOULD make it chaotic enough.

I’ve heard great stuff about Root so I’d love to go all in on it, but it’s a popular game so I’m sure I’ll get my chance later… plus I should buy the base game in the mean time to see if I like it. If you’ve seen bad gameplay of trombone champ (the video game) it’s really an amazing experience so I’d recommend trying to find it. I think my favorite one is the poorly done Willem Tell Overture.

As a huge Root fan, absolutely do not go all-in without playing the base game first. One of my gaming group told me that Root was too intimidating now that there were so many modular expansions, he'd rather I just owned the base game and played it more 😛

Thanks for the content! Love watching these. My thoughts: Maniac looks cool, but I just backed Kantana which will fill the niche. Backed madcala, and am trying to not add wonderlands war. ($$$ and it’s a long game) I keep getting drawn to the Bad Karamas campaigns, and like each one a bit more. Like you, I thought it would die quickly… I’m very tempted by this one since it’s so unique. Plus I feel compelled to back innovate projects. Anyways, thanks again and I look forward to the next one! November will be a fun month for crowdfunding coverage. So much happening.

Chris, I only needed a 500-word apology, not 10 pages ... unless you write really large. However, since you added coverage, I’ll let it all slide this time. 😉 A note on why I thought UVG and OGA might be of interest to some: Since there are a lot of board games that are quite RPG adjacent, I thought Ultraviolet Grasslands 2ed (UVG) and Our Golden Age: An Ultraviolet Grasslands RPG (OGA) might be nice RPG/board gaming crossovers due to the way they are presented and the variety of tables they offer. In that regard they, and many other RPGs, could be considered a richer sandbox experience than many choose-your-own adventure games, dungeon crawl style board games, and many others. The video on the geek gamers KZbin channel provides just an idea of of some of the things that can be done, limited only by one’s creativity and imagination: “UVG 4 reasons its a solo RPG textbook!!??” So, food for thought …
